I'm ecstatic with the fourth to sixth best odds in this year's lottery.
Me too... the 9th pick is technically still in play, but it's looking like we're walking away from the draft with a big time prospect... perhaps the best prospect we've had on this team since Rondo.
This is exciting if we keep the kid. Last time we had a Top 6 talent and kept him... it was like... 1997? Ron Mercer/Billups in a perceived 1 player draft (Duncan or bust). Year before that we got Toine with the #6.
You gotta go all the way back to 1980 to find a Top 5 pick the Celtics kept... some kid named Kevin McHale. Granted, we took Bias in 1986, but I'm trying to keep this positive. It's been a long time since Boston has had a legitimate star prospect that we didn't stumble into. This has the potential be a very fun season coming up. I'm thrilled.
