Would you want Danny to pick him?

Some concerns about how he might handle nba defenders as at times he has trouble handling athletic players in college. But outside of this concern, at worse is going to be a deadly shooter in the nba.  Also since Reggie Miller/Ray Allen i haven't quite seen another player run around screens like a headless chicken trying to get open. Eventually tiring out the player that is guarding him. (maybe he doesn't get as beat up on the defensive end, bc he tires out his man in the first place)

Once he gets the ball around the basket , he is very decisive in what he wants to do, and usually flips up high percentage shots. Its like he knows where the basket is at all times, even when posting up.

Imo his potential is a poor man Reggie Miller. Worse case scenerio a rich man Kyle Korver, bc he is also able to score closer to the basket

So with this said, in my preference, if he is still available with our 2nd first (likely 16-19) , we should grab him.  He will outwork Green

It's all about potential with Lavine. He is not having a very good freshman year so far and has a body of a high schooler. He has a long way to go to build his body and i don't think will declare

I think he is a sure fire pick as  a shooting specialist , nice role player for a NBA team......scorers like him are highly prized to round out a contending squad.

Definitely another guy I like. Not as good shooter but just as good scorer and chance to be a better defender in the nba. I doubt he will be available with our 2nd 1st.

I think McDermott will be gone in the lotto, but I doubt Warren will be. A lot of mocks have him around 17.

Actually, as I see DE, they don't have teams taking particular players. They simply ranked players and then slap the current drafting order next to them. When the draft is closer, then DE makes conscious choices on which team takes which player.

So, with the second pick I see 3-5 players who would be fine.  But I am also hoping a very good player falls to the celtics, as did pierce, rondo, and maybe Allen did.

I wouldn't be upset with McDermott as the pick, but he wouldn't be my first choice if SF is the position we draft with our 2nd pick.  My SF preference would be:
Warren
Hood
McDermott

I wouldn't be disappointed, but I think that in our position the best use of that pick will be on a high risk high reward player. Clint Capela, Chris Walker, Jarami Grant- guys like that.

I'd rather trade up and grab Harris. I think he is going to be a very good nba player at the 2. Bring Avery off the bench.

Yup, you never pass on shooting & athleticism in combination.  It's as close to a sure thing as you can get, by sure thing I mean a non-bust. McDermott's lack of athleticism might make him a real liability defensively and limit him offensively.
