McDermott is a freaking machine - hard to imagine him not being at the very least useful in the pros.

The most impressive shot I saw from McDermott against Lafayette was when he got Elfrid Payton to bite on a pump fake at the 3-point line, dribbled in about four feet and then drilled a jumper off the dribble.  I hadn't see many perimeter counter moves or mid-range jumpers from him.  If he can  make shots after defenders run him off from deep, I like him a lot more.

Yeah, it shows that staying a couple of years longer does wonders for your game. Look at all these "senior" teams are making a lot of noise in the tourney, compared to the one and done heave schools.

He looked really good. Yeah he had trouble scoring against a athletic guy, but he also figured it out and got some key baskets at the end of the game. Scubs don't do that, they usually fade...

Parker will still probably be better than McDermott, but the extra stay is going to give this kid a chance to have a career in the league.

For all the great offense, he still moves like he is underwater on the court.  Now granted he is a smart and has great anticipation but guys will blow buy him.   

Let's wait until he plays against Baylor  with  Taurean Prince, Cory Jefferson and Rico Gathers.  They run 6-7, 6-9 and 6-8 guard him.  Two are top 50 players and one is top 100 in terms of recruiting, they have NBA length and Jefferson and Gathers are big time athletes.  Additionally they have a 7-1 Rim protector in a top five player, Isaac Austin.  This is a good NBA test as any for McDermott. 

Let's see if he thrives or dies....

Not sold on Doug McDermott.  His ceiling might be Kyle Korver, and his basement might be Adam Morrison.

I'd rather have one of Saric, Warren or Hood.

I will know more after the Baylor game, I want to see how he does against a good wing with size.
