Why try to play him at SG?

Plug him in at SF (where he most likely belongs).  Then worry about what you'll do with a guy like Green. Don't try to be squeezing a square peg into a round hole here.

Preferably, if the Celtics ended up with Parker or Wiggins, I'd start shopping Green/Sullinger/filler/draft picks there to see what you could get.

Because it will be an easy transition.

He's quick enough to be able to defend quick guards. Plus, he'll have a height and length advantage over them.

He'll be like T-Mac, put him at either position and he'll be good either way. But he has the size advantage at the 2.

If Wiggins lands on the Celtics and is 3/5ths the player that healthy T-Mac was, I'll be ecstatic.
He could be 5/5 of what TMac was in his rookie year.

He has been more consistent lately.

But his inability to dominate night in and out scares me, somewhat.  His shooting is also suspect.

We have to take the best player we can get I think.  If it is him and it could be, we have to take him.

One mock site compared him to Pippen. A super #2

That is still a pretty good darn player

Homer Alert!!  Homer Alert!!  This roster would struggle to win 15 out of 20 games vs D-Leaguers, no less actual NBA teams.  ^_^

Keep dreaming, but I'm a realist.  There's no way we sniff the playoffs. Even with Rondo playing well, we have lost 7 out of our last 10.

Wiggins is going in the top 2.

Boston will be picking 15th after they win 15 of the next 20 games.

Not happening.  We're making the playoffs this year.

I hope you are being sarcastic ;D because looking at bostons upcoming schedule...no way they win 15 out of 20

except for Philly everyone of those teams should be better than us.
Rondo is coming on strong.  Green is streaking.  Wallace going down paves the way for someone like Oly to step up. Sully is a beast.  Bradley is coming back soon.   I smell a huge win streak coming.

Sounds reasonable to play him at the 2 at the start (although it's possible that he might end up playing the 3 before the season is over). I'd be pretty excited to land Wiggins. Is he projected to go #2 or #3?

Play him at the 2 for 1 season. When Bass' deal expires note Green to the 4 and him to the 3 spot. Problem solved.

Wiggins is the best available at that position. Agree? Disagree?
Exum at SG seems better, and better overall  :P
Smart also looks good. But Wiggins supreme athleticism seems very intriguing too.
About the positioning, the NBA have such a SG shortage that I can see a lot of players being dislocated there.
Goal for next season: Top 2 seed.
Say goodbye to: Turner, Zeller, Sully.

Andrew Wiggins is considered as a SF.

Among shooting guards, I'm not sure if he is the best prospect, but I am intrigued by Bogdan Bogdanovic.

He's not just considered a small forward.  I don't even know what the difference is.  He has the size and athleticism to check both guards or small forwards so he has the ability to play alongside any wing.  If it's next to Bradley, he can check small forwards.  If it's next to Green, he can check guards.

I still can't believe people think there is a difference between the two positions.  They're aren't so much guards or small forwards as just wings who match up against each other based on who can guard who.

Ability to break guys down one on one will be what makes Exum, Smart and Wiggins thrive in the pros immediately.  The NBA is a one on one league.   Their shots are all a few years away but some of them don't have bad shooting.

You have to consider that Green's streaks last like 2 games.  He had a four point play, I mean four point game last night.

well, here are our next 14 opponents

Brooklyn
Detroit
Indiana
Knicks
Phoenix
NOL
Dallas
Miami
Brooklyn
toronto
toronto
chicago
chicago
washington

I see ALOT of losses in there. after that we get philly twice though, detroit, atlanta, charlotte, cleveland. which is scary because they could go on a small win streak to end the season

March will be ugly for the Celtics.. however it never is a lock that the worst teams will lock those top 3 spots.. I like where they are right now and maybe it is their time to actually win the lottery ( only 2 of the worst seeds in 20 years have locked the number one pick)..

As for Wiggins I think he will be a star BUT He is not a Lebron or Durant or even a guy like LIllard who come right out and light up the stat sheet... Defensive he is ready but I think it will take 3 years to really polish his game.. However he can put a a reasonable 10ppg, 4 rpg, 2 spg as a rook
