2 1st and a border level all-star

Goodluck Danny. You won't get that. Even Rondo at his peak last year can't get you that

Teams want to see Rondo carry the team without the big three first

Yeah, no team is trading a young borderline all-star and two #1s.  KG was available for less than that (unless you think the Minnesota "#1" that turned into a second rounder was a strong asset, or if you consider Gerald Green the equivalent of a #1).

Um, this is A. Sherrod Blakeley who cites Sam Smith. Sam Smith (article is from today morning, 10:30), by the way, cites no source whatsoever. To be precise, his wording is "Rondo's price is said to be...".

These have got to be the two most worthless "insiders" ever, and the chance that anything ever remotely similar came out of Ainge's mouth is slim to none.

As a matter of fact, I'll wager that those two picked up on the bogus Twitter report from yesterday without doing their homework.

per my post today about Sherod, I don't buy that he really has any clue.

is he reporting that Ainge is asking for an all-star talent along with 2 1sts specifically? no -- he's piggybacking off today's report, and trying to add color. so i'll believe Sam Smith and Zach Lowe over Sherod. even if Ainge were asking for that, he'd simply be driving the price up -- obviously wouldn't expect it. never happening.

by the way, as to Tom Penn's suggestion.... why would Phoenix trade for Rondo when they have Bledsoe and will certainly match whatever he's offered (which means no one will offer)? furthermore, why would they trade Dragic for Rondo when he's shown he's an excellent fit with Bledsoe at a cheap price, and Rondo is clearly not a fit? then add two firsts?

the Fall Rico guy is making more sense with his idea.

just found one thing funny here... who does cite their source(s)? would it make you feel more comfortable if he said "according to a source" like everyone else?

If Rumor is true

Would Danny then take Hardaway Jr. and a future unprotected 1st (2018)?
so you want to be in the lottery for the next 5 years?

And you think Rondo is going to carry us anywhere?

He has in the past. Who are we going to get for him that will take us farther than the ECF, let alone the finals?

Not sure if anyone posted or how serious this rumor is but...

.. poster on Rockets forum (apparently insider who has some credibility on that forum) posted that HOU is discussing a deal for Rondo. Houston is willing to give up Parsons in that deal.

Let's assume this has legs, not sure this is the type of deal that makes sense. Sure, Parsons is a fine player but he is going to get paid soon and HOU picks are at the end of 1st round.

Yeah, I agree. Funny thing is that most of their fans went crazy when guy wrote that HOU is willing to give up Parsons. He is their golden boy it seems, which is silly cause Rondo >> Parsons and it's not even close.

I don't believe Rondo to be off limits, but why would they bother with the public gesture of naming him the captain last month just to shop him around and dump him for 2 future firsts?

An All-star for an All-star (I don't mean Jamaal Magloire or Chris Kaman type all stars) is the only trade that Rondo should be involved in.

Two first rounders is very uncertain, we could be lucky get us yet another lotto pick, or it could end up way behind the late first. Why risk that when you have the certainty of having a top 10 PG in the league.

We don't need two first rounders, just one, but Danny has to make sure that with one first rounder there's an All-Star talent coming back for Rajon. Anything more he gets will be gravy. But if it's just for the picks and some role players or "starters", no thanks.

Suns i think would do the dragic plus late 2 firsts for Rondo, IF they can also pry Gasol from the lakers

Maybe Gasol for Alex Len as principal pieces

The laker pick would be lotto.

Well, yes.

If I found Kate Upton on my front porch tonight, I'd invite her in, too.

Neither is going to happen.
Not really sure why she couldn't show up on my porch. I still wouldn't invite her in. If something happened I might lower my average.
