Defense. If he wants more time, he needs to dramatically improve his defense.
He's slow, but he's also not in a good stance. When he's switching on smaller players on the perimeter he needs to bend his knees and back off a bit. They drive right by him and then he reaches and gets touch fouls. That causes him to back off more because he doesn't want to foul out.
It's paradoxical, but if he'd body up big men early in the play and keep them in front of him, he'd reach less and get fewer fouls. When he gives them space to spin, he reaches and fouls.
As stated, he needs to develop muscle; but he also needs to develop lateral foot-speed big time. Brian Doo needs to work with him on quickness drills.
He and Pressey are actually pretty good on offense. But they are both terrible at this point on defense, and it's cost us a couple games.
