25 points, 7 assist off the bench for our rookie.  C'mon y'all...

It's because we want to see him do it again.

Honestly great game by the kid. I haven't seen a big man pass like that since Marc Gasol

I was very happy.

I think playing with Rondo is going to get him some easy buckets, and then hopefully that gets his confidence going.  Anyone who can move off ball will get fed by Rondo and he can definitely do that.

It's really funny seeing guards (particularly Bayless) be unable to make an entry pass to the post, then pass to Olynyk at the FT line, and have Olynyk then make perfect entry lobs around the defense for assists.  He really is an outstanding passer and his height really factors in.

I haven't wavered in being happy with him and continue to be that.  His passing is elite level for a big and the rest will come along here soon.

Elite. He passes better than some pg's in the league.

Kelly is a better body away from doing more of what he wants to do. I liked it after the game how Stevens said something along the lines that Kelly needs to go after the ball for the first few baskets. Get tip ins, put backs . Then his jumpers will start to fall. And it did.

Chillax. It's just the Lakers with their crappy D.

That said, Olynyk has been playing well since his return.

Olynyk beats up on bad teams.  The Lakers, Hawks, Pistons, Jazz and Magic are his only games with 14+ points and he killed it in the D-League.  So why not use him as the first 7 ft six man?  He could just come up and light up everyone's bench.  He is a good enough passer that even if he wasn't scoring, he could still keep the ball flowing through him

There has already been Lamar Odom.

A player I have thought of in comparison, as well as Vlade.

Anyways though, it's his rookie year and all this experience is valuable.  Lets not talk as if he is some type of player that won't improve after his rookie year.

My hope is that he, yes, comes off the bench.  Hopefully we have Sully and a Center, and then Olynyk will be very valuable coming in and being able to play both positions.

i envision KO to eventually be the first big off the bench too. I think he will flourish in that role given his offensive gifts. I honestly think the C's have all the perfect role players (AB, Sully, KO) set and they just need a superstar wing. Then flip Jeff Green for a more-than-decent center like Asik and you're looking at a pretty formidable team.

Of course, i do acknowledge that acquiring a superstar wing is pretty [dang] difficult.

He's a really, really great passer. So there's that.

Odom is a few inches short of seven feet.  I'm sure there were others.  McHale was closer to 7ft.

Anyone else think he was extra motivated last night?   Was it the Lakers?   Playing against Sacre?

He clearly needs that confidence to be able take shots when he wants and knock them down.  Seems to relax and get in a groove afterthat.

Seems hard to expect a rookie to be consistent like that but any step forward is great
