I'm worried he will be the next Derrick Williams. :(

Worry parker will become DW part 2.

Explain this to me please.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

He is in my top 5 draft wishlist!
Would love to have him here!
He can work on his shot to play the 3!
Gerald wallace replacement...?

I think we all see the strengths and weakness of his game. Now the question is can he improve his weaknesses? His form looks fine and it just seems as though he needs to work on his confidence and repetition. His game is probably best suited to be a 4, but ideally you'd like to have a legit 5 next to him or risk being really undersized down low.

Strengths:

Athleticism
Motor
Ball handling
Youth
Defense

Weaknesses:

Tweener
Perimeter shooting
FT shooting
Ability to create for himself offensively

Well stated.  However, I feel for his size, he has pretty decent ability to create for himself.  I was surprised to see that last night, but he is darn good off the dribble, much better than I anticipated.  I think this kid is going to get a lot better too, especially if he can become a decent shooter, granted, a big if.

What a beauty assist 3:21 . That was a clutch play

Gordon was huge until Johnson took over to seal the game

Worry parker will become DW part 2.

Explain this to me please.

If you are asking me, it is simple: Combo forward, Arizona, very athletic, similar size

For anyone who does not agree, let's remember Derrick Williams was the 2nd overall pick in the 2011 draft. There is a pattern of combo forwards not working in the NBA. Frankly, they scare me to death. Here are some I can think of:

Chris Singleton
 Derrick Williams
 Jan Vesely
 Marcus Morris
 Markieff Morris
Michael Beasley

I mean does this even have to be explained?

Parker "tweener" label =  high reward high risk. Defensive liability to the pt he can't stay on the court to help offensively. Potential offensive struggles if facing excellent SF defenders or stronger/bigger PF

Gordon "tweener" label = Mid to high reward and little risk. Defensively can guard multiple positions extremely well.  Excellent team defender. These things alone will make it easy to keep him on the court , even though the offense isn't as good as expected.

more like Jeff Green replacement. If we draft Gordon, i hope we trade Green. Even if he stays, Gordon will outwork him

14 and 6. Not bad bench numbers. Sounds a bit like Brandon Bass. I'd like more from our future top 6 pick.

Yah, I'm not interested in Gordon one bit.

superb defense by Gordon. Wow that was close. Thank for for his hand on Nigel Hayes face

Not a good offensive game, but his defense has been crucial

edit: nice three pt shot and follow up dunk.

So, Gordon pretty much seemed to cement his role player status to me tonight.

Tremendous hustle and effort, particularly on defense. Hit the boards like a mad man.   He won't likely ever see those kind of rebounding numbers in the NBA, but it was impressive none the less.

Total train wreck on offense though. He is just not a player you can run any offense through. Epitome of a role player, someone who is only useful on offense as a spot up shooter/transition player/garbage man. He'll be excellent in transition and as a garbage man, but can't shoot to save his life.

He won't but he needs a few more years in college to work on several things. Right now, he should not be taken in the top 10, IMO.

Yup.  With our second 1st rounder, I wouldn't be mad.  But with our top pick, no thanks.  I want one of the big 4, or if we fall out of the top 4 perhaps Vonleh would be a decent consolation prize.  I think he could be a poor man's Chris Bosh.  Which might be good enough for the 5 in today's NBA.

My best comparison, from what I've seen, is Dennis Rodman.
