Dwight Howard and Brandon Bass played together on Orlando frontline, but sources insist Howard was never enamored with partnership.

I am sure Bass loved playing next to a clown....

Never enamored? Howard's a joke honestly. What a baby

Also this will help Houston

Dwight Howard
Brandon Bass
Chandler Parsons
James Harden
Jeremy Lin

Terrence Jones
Courtney Lee
Pat Beverly
Omri Casspri
Francisco Garcia
Aaron Brooks

Win win for both teams.  Just based on how the players compliment their current rosters.

I don't know about this is Asik worth ALL that on top of a 1st as well? I guess part of it is Danny wanting to get out of Bass and Lee's contracts, does this mean getting out of their contracts we'd be able to sign another huge impact guy next year or are we tied to Rondo/Green/Bradley/Asik etc?

Cap gurus help me out here
dont need a cap guru its common sense they will have to flip bradley and crawford for a sg their willing to pay long term

or keep crawford as the 6th man @ a reasonable deal

or make bradley the long term sg

My question is  - if the trade is going to happen tomorrow, if other teams are involved - do they hold out their players tonight???

I would say No.  The deadline was set by the Rockets, not the league or anybody else.  The Rockets could ultimately back out and wait it out until the real deadline.  So teams should be at full strength tonight regardless.

When Rondo's back no one will with a 3 guard rotation of Rondo, Crawford, and AB. But right now I'd say Brooks over Bogans

The deadline is today because players traded today can still be traded this summer, or something like that.  It's not arbitrary

I love what Bass has done for us and always rooted for Lee, but swapping them and one of our extra firsts for a legitimate NBA center like Asik would be an incredible deal for Boston and, actually, not that bad a deal for Houston.

If he pulls this off, I'm not sure any GM has ever put together a prospective rebuild like Ainge has.  With Asik and a healthy Rondo, Boston would probably be a playoff contender even in the West and they'll still have 8 first round picks in the next 5 years.

Not Summer, the trade deadline.

For me it depends on what the pick is.  If it's a 2014 pick, I'm disappointed.  If it's the lesser of our 2015 picks, for example, that's a bit better.  I think Sullinger would thrive at the power forward position, and with Olynyk also at the 4, there's really no need for bass at all.  I understand wanting to clear long-term cap room in getting rid of Lee, but I'd much rather get rid of Bogans if the goal is staying under the tax this year.  Assuming we resign Bradley, we're not going to have oodles of cap room next year or in the 2015 offseason (unless Rondo goes, in which case PANIC!!) -- might as well keep Lee around until Wallace's (and maybe green's) contract expire at the same time for the 2016 offseason.  Lee has shown himself to be very useful.  While he's replaceable, there's a cost in doing so, and there's no reason to pay that cost if you don't have to.
