Crawford is replaceable guys.

Maybe he is, but the last time Boston lost a legit backup PG (Cassell), it took Ainge 6 years to find a replacement (Crawford). I don't want to wait that long again.

How much of that was the difficulty in replacing a backup PG, and how much of it was Doc?

I blame Ainge for thinking that Rondo was going to play 40mpg in the playoffs so the Celtics needed a combo guard rather than a legitimate point guard.

That's probably the biggest complaint I had about him during the KG era.

Well, Rondo did play 40 minutes in the playoffs past his rookie year. On a team that had Paul Pierce that was probably a valid way to build a roster, and it worked just fine most of the time.

I like the idea of keeping Wallace another year. However, I think with Rondo coming back something has to give. Brooks is already being wasted on the bench. Lee has at least been able to prove his worth. I like the idea of trading Hump and Lee for a Center myself. Throw in Bogins and you could save a team some serious money while upgrading an important position. Huston needs expirings; but not sure Asik is the answer. Need more athleticism to complement Sulilnger. Monroe would be the best target.

We've struggled for YEARS to score had all the defense in the world but never guys who could flat out score (aside from the big three), we now have one of the best in the league at that and we want to get rid of him?!? Smh

I like JC too but that's a little heavy to me.

JCs not likely to bring back much value right now. Keep him. He's still growing, and he already has some pretty unique skills (such as fearlessness).

Unless we are dealing Crawford in a package to get an UPGRADE in talent, I don't move him.  Dumping him for salary relief is not a good idea, because we have nothing to spend it on right now anyways.

Do you think any premier free agent is coming to Boston in 2014?  I don't think Lebron is walking through that door folks.  Would like to trade Wallace, but not at the cost of downgrading talent.  Might as well move him for Amare if we have to.
