Very bad news indeed for the Bulls...now they are still good to make the playoffs but bad enough to compete and will be a 1 or 2 round out. They have a dilema now whether to be in no mans land middle of nowhere team or tank, get a good position in the draft and be a better team next yr with Rose back with better players to surround him.

The competition for the freaking cHeat are dwindling and so far only the Pacers are the only team that can compete with them....[dang]ed those cHeaters, why cant something like this happen to thug Wade or LeQueen...sigh!! :-\

That sucks for Chicago. I thought they had a real chance to win the East.

I would strongly consider trading them the following:

Rondo
Wallace

for

Boozer
Butler
Snell
Mirotic (rights to)
1st Rd Pick (Bobcats one)

I think that's great return value for Rondo. The Bobcats pick is top 10 protected this year, top 8 protected in 2015, and unprotected in 2016. Butler is a good player and in his rookie cobtract. Mirotic  is a star for Read Madrid and only 22. The Bulls think very highly of him and have been trying to bring him over for some time. We get rid of Wallace's contract and have a huge amount of cap room in the summer of 15.

Didn't look like much, I hope it's only a strain for some sort. Bad luck for them Bulls, I wonder how will they manage if he's gone for good.

What does ANY of this have to do with RR???

First, RR had a PARTIAL tear, Rose tore both his ACL & MCL (sweEt, I have no idea what I'm talking about, I looked it up online... so... still DIFFERENT)!

I don't need a doctor to tell me that RR and DR don't even play the same way, RR isn't going to be doing much dunking and zig-zagging starting and stopping!

If you are going to do what's best for you based off of someone else, you're going to be in trouble. DR isn't the only one who came back from that injury anyway... so what, is RR gonna pay more attention to ONE player and ignore the successful return of others?

RR isn't going to come back before he is ready, no matter what happened to Rose. Two different players/people with 2 different injuries! RR will do what's best for him and  not based on Rose and what people think he should do, when they are on the outside (barely) looking in!

So pro-tankers, don't think that this is a good thing for you. Not saying you wish injury on anyone but that you will take it now that it's a given. No matter what, RR wasn't taking the season off anyway, I don't even know why people suggest it. Sure, he could take longer but this season has 60 more games, he is already ready for light contact action, no way they can get him to stay out the rest of the season, especially with MONTHS left to play!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I'm definitely not a pro tanker, but I think if Rose tore his ACL in his OTHER knee because he was overcompensating for the injured one(which is very prevalent when an athlete  comes back from that type of injury)than Rondo would have to mentally block that. The thing he's said the most is that he's worried about coming out playing and re-injuring himself.

He's mentioned Rose a few times in interviews saying he did the right thing to wait. Rondo is smart and will back when he's 100% mentally and physically ready.

This an awful news. Makes me a little sick to my stomach.

Kid worked his tail off to get back and is so beloved by the city of Chicago.  Just a real shame.

He hurt it on the first step of the cut. The second step where he buckled showed the integrity of the knee was shot.

I think that's an acl. That first step on the right leg it buckles parallel to the floor

Have you ever heard of Mirotic? Adding a player of his caliber, a high first rd pick from the Bobcats, Butler, and getting rid of the final year of Wallace's deal is excellent value.

Even if it wasn't a partial tear, and even considering that different people heal differently, an injury in which you have torn multiple tendons destabilizes the knee considerably more.

So unfortunate for Rose, the nba, and basketball fans. If this is a serious injury I'm willing to be this career is pretty much over. Such a shame

This injury is in his right knee (the non torn one), which would make it suck even more to have an ACL injury in both knees. I hope that's not the case.
