Good source tells me #Bulls fear it's a torn right ACL for Derrick Rose. If so, unlikely he will ever be the same.

It's settled, then... keep Rondo out the entire season.

About to feel the same after what happened to DRose
but Rondo and DRose play differently, Rose is more of a contact type player...

It's either rest him for the whole season or limit his minutes when he came back

If Rose tore his other ACL I think it would be hard for Rondo not to think that it could possibly happen to him too. Even though you try not to compare, when someones gone through the same injury you tend to kind of monitor how their progress is.

Dang Marc Gasol injured his knee tonight too, saying it might be a grade 2 MCL tear...this sucks
When we played Portland last week, the Blazers broadcasters commented that Rondo's calf muscles were noticeably different sizes.  One was drastically larger than the other and would likely take a while until he built it back up.  If that's where he's at in his recovery, he's probably a long ways away from returning.  You don't want him coming back, favoring one leg and injuring the good one.

The guy is just reckless, I'm sorry.  Even more than young Dwayne Wade.  You know you're reckless when your injuries are non contact injuries.

I kind of knew things would never be thesame for Derrick Rose ever again, not because of his injury but the time he took off affected everything about him.

"You're reckless when your injuries are non contact injuries." I think you need to look up the term "reckless" and then do some research on non contact injuries.  What you wrote makes zero sense.

With this type of stuff happening to Rose, it's hard to not think about Rondo (even though they're different type of players) it just sucks to see someone that sat out from a season ending injury, possibly do it again on the other knee.

Rose sat out over a year and chickened out on his team when his team needed him the most after he was declared to come back.

Rondo came back in a game where he dislocated his elbow to put away the Heat.

Sorry, can't compare the two on any level.  Competitors are different from competitors.

Not the same. Rose tore his ACL and MCL, and there's conflicting reports as to whether or not his PCL was damaged as well. He pretty much shredded his knee - I work in PT and see a ton of athletes of all levels come through with significant injuries. Being medically cleared to play and being mentally prepared to play are two different things, but both are crucial. If a player isn't ready and he's overcompensating for an injury or overly concerned about reinjury, he's a sitting duck. Rose made a solid decision. No one - especially the Bulls organization, who had their own motives at the time I might add - can tell him when he is or isn't ready to play. That's nonsense.

Bulls should blow it up, trade Noah to the Celtics.

sucks for rose and the bulls. hope its not torn. rose has a style of play that is prone to these kinds of injuries, though. he relies on his athleticism and does a lot of stop and go stuff. i know he sat out a full year, but i still wonder if that was enough, b/c he totally shredded his knee (not just the ACL), and for a player that cuts like he does, anything < 100% (and not just the injury...he has to be completely comfortable playing, b/c he makes crazy cuts that you can't really account for in evaluating the knee) means he shouldn't play. i bet this is all about overcompensation for the left knee, which he probably still isn't comfortable on. also...yes...let this be exhibit A-Z why we need to be as careful as possible w/ rondo's recovery.

I hope the unfortunate news keeps Rondo from pushing too hard.

I hope Rondo decides to chalk this season up as a tank fest and just sit it out.

This is the crap that happens to your franchise when you pick #1 in the draft. Don't tank.

Keeping my fingers crossed its nothing serious.

That would seriously bum me out if Rose gets another acl injury. The young man has been through enough.

Hope Rose the best, but if this is another acl injury I think his days as a superstar are over.

So after seeing how much he's struggling now, you think he made the wrong choice not comeback early? Really?!

That is such bad news.  Derrick Rose is one of my favorite non-Celtics superstars in the league.  I hope he can return to his old self, but the chances aren't looking good.

DKC Seventy-Sixers:

PG: G. Hill/D. Schroder
SG: C. Lee/B. Hield/T. Luwawu
SF:  Giannis/J. Lamb/M. Kuzminskas
PF:  E. Ilyasova/J. Jerebko/R. Christmas
C:    N. Vucevic/K. Olynyk/E. Davis/C. Jefferson

Femur looked like it slid over his knee, that's usually an ACL.

The idea that this should influence Rondo's time table is silly.
