I'm not offended at all.  I'm on the side of: I don't really see anything wrong with what Doc said.

I just think your logic for 'where he is coming from' is specious.

It can just as easily be argued that it was much more difficult to win multiple years in a row back then because the talent was much more concentrated instead of the huge dilution we have today. Almost every team had multiple all-stars, winning 11 titles therefore is even more impressive.

The problem with what Doc said is that it was unnecessary. It did not have to be said unless he was taking a dig at the Lakers biggest rival, the Celtics, a team with which he has recently been engaged in a PR tussle.

I believe he had said that he was a Celtic and a Bostonian. He also owned a condo in Boston that he has since put on the market. (Don't know if it's been sold yet.)

let's face it...doc is trying to be the 2nd coming of the zen master in los angeles with his motivational ploys...there are ways to this without burning bridges...it would require a savvy person...which doc obviously isn't...the reality of it is that doc is not loyal...more to the point...he is selfish and will always say and do what is best for doc...period...can't really blame him...it is the inescapable curse of humanity...so....i'm not surprised that doc is showing his true colors...did you really expect otherwise...
