Doc is really earning his money in LA by getting media attention every week.
I don't care about Doc leaving, he brought a future pick back, and I hope next season the Clippers go back to being the Clippers and their pick is in the mid teens.
About the Laker quote, I'm waiting for Spin Doc to try to explain how it doesn't affect him being "a Celtic". Doc seems to be a good man and father, but his need to constantly give "quotes" to the media puts him in difficult position sometimes.
Minnesota/Los Angeles Lakers aren't the biggest franchise in basketball, let alone in all sports. Roy is right about the Yankees, although is true that the Lakers and Hollywood have better international exposure. But if that's the reasoning, the Dodgers should be bigger than the Yankees, too.
Outside of the USA, I guess it's Real Madrid/Manchester United/Barcelona, depending on what you are looking at (Income, global impact, popularity...)
