Interesting that there's been very little "thug" "punk" etc. going on in this thread, compared to similar threads about other players.

Definitely.  But the difference between Sullinger and a Terrence Williams is a) he has no history of domestic violence that I know of; b) he's pretty important to our team this year.

Little bit of selective bias going on if I had to guess.  And that's fine honestly, because it should be common sense to get all the facts before drawing a conclusion anyway.  That goes for everybody, not just fans of the team.

Victim says history of DV, just the first time he put his her..only would push her before.

I lied, I do have one more opinion on this scenario.

Since 9/11 and the advent of technology ie Twitter and social networking, we're now inundated with "information" on an "as it happens" basis.

Anyone can chime in, 'report' things, update things with little or no vetting of the information.

Is this valuable, necessary, potentially misleading? Sometimes yes for all of them but, I was one of those folks that was glued to Twitter , Reddit and the police scanner during the hours after the Marathon bombing and got lead down a ton of blind information alleys because, where there was a lack of hard information, people were only too willing to accept conjecture and opinion for fact.

I'm not saying that is the case here, but the quantity, speed and ability of ANYONE to be a source for "news" in this day and age is sometimes unsettling and misleading.

The incident was three days ago, and she apparently had reported it to police by very early two days ago.

Am I the only one shocked and disappointed? He seems to be the last guy to get into this kind of stuff. Seems to be a sensible, intelligent kid.

Hopefully it's just kneejerk by the police, as some have suggested.

If Sullinger is right and she cheated on him, i understand why he was so upset. But still he should of controlled his emotions. Its an one off incident. He should find a better gf suited for him.

So did he now? Gf is not pressing charges I think. Judge orders him to stay away from her for the time being but is allowed to call her with someone present?

These pro athletes keep doing stupid things. They are millionaires, they have a great life, they're idolized by millions... and yet they act like they have a chicken's brain.

Having a great life is more a complex conclusion than having talent, having money and/or having fame/adulation.  Lots of people with the outward appearance of having things we all might want are not having great lives.  Sometimes it's due to 'chicken brain' but there are plenty of other variables.
