Terrance Williams, 6'6" tall, 235 lbs, fast, aggressive,STRONG DEFENDER, Wade and Lebron already don't like him..in just a few games he has shown a lot of strength and skills.....and he never got a chance to run with Rondo yet....Wade cannot cover Rondo with Twill out there.....it creates a lot of problems for the other teams....and he can shoot also......a LARGE upside to this guy...!!!
Um, we waived him. Moving along, citizens.

Didn't understand the hate for him on here. He WAS the point guard or back up to AB and was above average (better than anyone else on the roster) ball handler.

Yes he can't shoot but he can get to the rim, monster dunks beyond the show, athletic, and aggressive on D.
The Nets will finish with the worst record and the Celtics will end up with the 4th pick.

THANK you for being reasonable....I was just thinking....I would have gotten more civilized replies...had I posted a barely plausible trade idea...as in trading Rondo...for many unproven guys who have shown nothing in the 2014 draft....as if we haven't seen enough guys get drafted to end up doing nothing. IF they get to play at all.....

If anyone around the league thought half as highly of TW as you do, he would already be signed to an NBA team.

Now put down the binkie and walk away slowly.

I know it is hard for you to act mature...but there are standards here...how about trying a little harder. The first part of your post....maybe so....the second sentence...is pitiful.

Binkie is pretty common CB slang for "player you're irrationally fond of," yes?

Same guys who said Doc saw it all in PRACTICE I imagine.....even though I told them 100 times doc doesn't hold practice....good thing all the team and the Boston Herald backed me up on that....WHy do I like the guy...for what he did in the PLAYOFFS....better known as THE ONLY TIME THAT MATTERS....but...only players understand that...oh well....it always goes this way. Stats....tell little under doc and no playing time....and Doc got rid of TA....hmmmm...one of the best defenders at his size.....sounds familiar.....and lets see...for one more year...well it has been a few more than one....TA is still going strong...so who was wrong there.....So you have a few guards that proved to be no good....you live with them.....or waive them....you can be your own huckleberry.
Really Scal?!?!...You're gonna pull out the "Well I'm a player and players know" stuff?

Really?!?!

You haven't got a clue how far anyone on this site has gone playing ball. Maybe people just have a seriously different opinion on the guy and state the stats because the stats back up what they see and think and kind of disprove what you are saying.

I wonder if the irony here is just totally lost on the OP.

I mean, if you're going to pull the "players know" card in justifying your own evaluation of players, it's pretty hilarious to then in the same breath totally dismiss Doc as an evaluator of the same players.

As far as I know Doc has some experience around the game of basketball, particularly in terms of playing and coaching good defense.

But I guess that's just totally irrelevant?

Well...I don't mind a counterpoint....but you see....stats are best to describe an anvil, or a weight....something that is, and will never change. It IS 10 LBS, 6" in diameter...ect....A player..well, he is technically a rookie, has been backup pg on 4 teams, which to those who know, means no playing time, no ref respect IF he gets to play...then he is playing pg..the toughest position on the floor, and on docs team, so guys he never practiced with or played with...talk about a tough deal...and a pg..you talk about shooting...not really the job..THIS...is the things I expected SOMEONE here to already know.....some here do.....some.......But....I don't know why I bother here....and one more thing on STATS...those are best suited for a player who starts, gets to play consistently, so then you'd have a STANDARD by which to judge him...as he is now..he has too many variables for stats to mean anything.....don't bother with a reply if all this is over your head...I already know who is missing it.

Er, what? I guess you're right. Replying to a post in which I don't mention stats with a stream-of-consciousness rant about stats does kind of go over my head. Or make it hurt. Or something.

I feel like I'm discussing the Celtics with the ghost of Hunter S. Thompson.

I am not familiar with it....but if you are saying it...in jest....then I am sorry.....it sounded like harsh sarcasm....for no reason. So, forgive me then...sort of....there isn't really any irrationality there....it is a player I think would be good for the CELTICS....not MY team.....maybe think about it from that perspective.

Binky is a term that is used for a pacifier, security blanket, or stuffed animal, so the idea is that it is someone who you have a childish attachment to, possibly with the implication that you might cry if he is gone.

Often trotted out with reference to end-of-the-benchers who see very little playing time--Shav, TW, JJJ, E'Twuan, and (until he stopped being horrid) Bradley.

Anyway, I liked T-Will's game well enough, but it doesn't seem to have kept him on the team.

Your poll choices seem to lean toward keeping T-Williams; Choice is re-sign T-Will or Let him go like T. Allen.

T-will is a good complementary bench player, but what triggered the Cs letting him go is his off-court problems;
Peavey Bass Player - relearning to play after 10 years sucks;

I will say that I liked TW's potential.  He has good size and is athletic.  I was rooting for him.  I never thought TW got a real chance last year.

BUT...There was a lot in that post that didn't make any sense to me.  Are you really going to try to justify your man-crush for him based on:
1ppg
2rpg
1.2apg
on 9mmg over 5 games in the playoffs.

Yeah, hold everything get TWill back because we cannot in any way replace those incredible numbers and effort.  Cmon, he hardly played in the playoffs, he hardly played all year.

Add in the gun issue, no matter if he was charged or not.  At this point I really doubt anyone in the C's brass is going to give much lenience if there is a sniff of any violent issue.  It really doesn't matter if what he did, with the Hernandez stuff do you really blame DA / Owners for taking the over cautious route?

I mean everyone has their underdog guy that we hope would make it.  It just isn't going to happen here for TWill.  Best of luck to him.

He looked pretty good compared to our other PGs during the playoffs.  Not sure that means we need to keep him, though. :-\

Although you qualify it with "compared", but shooting 20% from the field is quite far from "pretty good" by any stretch of the imagination.

hey...your mancrush is from your experience, not mine.....you speak from your own life...not me....sorry pal. Otherwise....it is my point, I think he had a lot of potential, and I wasn't impressed as much with the other guards who are more experienced.

Your inability to understand internet lingo is a nice way to sidestep not having to defend your position on T Will.

Let me make it easy for you:
http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=Man%20Crush

You were the one who claimed he stepped up his game in the playoffs.  From watching the games, and looking at the stats.. it obviously wasn't the case.

You can like any player you want to, I don't care what you think either way.  But if you make some claim that T Will deserves a roster spot from his play in last years playoffs, when there is no evidence that he did, then don't get mad if people don't agree with you.

I agree with Meadowlark that T will looks like a legit pro. Not sure about his off the court actions. It's probably what is keeping him off the Celtics. Plus, the coaching change. He was Doc's project. Stevens wants to make Pressey his. I would not be surprised if T will did not end up on the Nets or Clippers for obvious reasons.

I expect him in the NBDL myself and that's only because his legal problems might keep him in the country and stop him from heading to some Chinese or Euro league.

1.  T. Will showed some promise.  He wasn't great, but he definitely has talent.
2.  No possible way he is retained by the Celtics after Hernandez.  No team would trade for him, or sign him.  Delonte West couldn't get a contract last year and he is a much better player.
