I REALLY hope there are some big NBA names discovered (ahheem, Lebron) on this list!

http://espn.go.com/espn/otl/story/_/id/9508288/biogenesis-whistleblower-broke-open-scandal-says-ncaa-mma-nba-other-athletes-used-clinic-mlb-investigation.

I am aching to hear a report about PED's being passed around in the Miami Heat locker room like popcorn.

I doubt it's anybody big.  If it was, it most likely would have leaked already.

Probably. Too bad though. I suspect there are some NBA guys on "something" just by looking at certain players physique.

Yeah, it's laughable to think that Rashard Lewis is the only player in the NBA who has used PEDs.

Don't forget about that juice monkey Hedo Turkoglu.

I would not be surprised at all to see Lebron's name surface. He lives down there, is the strongest guy in the NBA, and works out hard.

...not that I care AT all if he is on them or not, but it would be great.

These guys play gladiator sports (to some degree) and I don't blame them for dabbling.

He already said no big name NBA players are involved.

The idea that this guy doesn't know any NHL or NFL players that've come in makes me think he's a hoops and baseball kinda guy.

just wondering, how many people here actually thinks Lebron is on steroids? My suspicion of him using it, is always on and off...

It would not surprise me in the least.

Why would you "hope" there are big name players on this list?  All that would serve to do is besmirch the image of the league.

Honestly, this sounds like sour grapes.

Well maybe sour grapes does play a role, no doubt.

However in my eyes, the league in a way has already been besmirched by it's talent being monopolized by "warm climates", "superstar destinations" and the fact that all of the top talent wants to play together.

Sorry, but as a Celtic fan, I believe I am 100 percent justified in feeling that way. We are the proudest NBA franchise with 17 titles and yet Boston is an afterthought because Hollywood isn't 5 minutes away from the TD Garden and because we don't have hot looking nightclubs.

Back in the 80s and early 90s, the top names like Larry, MJ, Magic and Charles Barkley NEVER wanted to play with each other. They wanted to beat each other! Now, guys like Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Howard, Chris Paul (I could go on and on ) look at the NBA as nothing more than a social circle.

In closing, I have a very hard time looking at the physique of someone like a Lebron or Dwight Howard and not wonder whether or not they are at least dabbling in some sort of banned substance. I doubt I am the only one and quite frankly, there's nothing wrong suspecting that either.

I'm pretty sure that if you offered someone the exact same job but let them live tax free in hard partying Miami, in the poshest corners of NYC, the heart of Hollywood, or the high taxes, known to be racist, and brutally cold winter having Boston you'd get a pretty similar distribution.

Whole lot of rather disappointing outlooks in here.  Seriously, have some dignity and accept the success of other's, and stop being so jealous.

Wishing, or hoping, a player on another team is found out to be "on the juice" is just disgraceful.

I like to think that PEDs don't enhance a basketball player's ability as much as they do in other sports, but I know that's impossible and not how they work so I guess it's safe to assume they are used in the NBA. I don't want to point at Lebron or Dwight (I guess I just did), to do so would be to follow baseball's lead in suspecting you sport's best players as also it's most nefarious. Unfortunately more than ever sports are about money, the best players will do whatever it takes to win, to earn more money, it becomes especially prevalent when they're surrounded by encouraging forces.

As for Kobe's treatment, if he's able to recuperate from a torn achilles tendon in such a short amount of time, why wouldn't he? At what point shouldn't we all be undergoing this treatment? If there are superior forms of medicine and HGH can be used in a beneficial manner with limited downsides, sooner or later it wont be considered a performance enhancing drug but rather a vitamin that becomes a part of our daily routine. But I guess that's a discussion for another thread.

Considering that various banned substances can help with:
Attention/altertness
Strength
Fast Twitch strength
Injury recovery time
Conditioning
Oxygen Carrying

I'd say that NBA players would be some of the most benefited athletes. I guess it can't make you taller or improve hand-eye, but they made the hand-eye argument for a decade in baseball, so...
