I like to think that PEDs don't enhance a basketball player's ability as much as they do in other sports, but I know that's impossible and not how they work so I guess it's safe to assume they are used in the NBA. I don't want to point at Lebron or Dwight (I guess I just did), to do so would be to follow baseball's lead in suspecting you sport's best players as also it's most nefarious. Unfortunately more than ever sports are about money, the best players will do whatever it takes to win, to earn more money, it becomes especially prevalent when they're surrounded by encouraging forces.
As for Kobe's treatment, if he's able to recuperate from a torn achilles tendon in such a short amount of time, why wouldn't he? At what point shouldn't we all be undergoing this treatment? If there are superior forms of medicine and HGH can be used in a beneficial manner with limited downsides, sooner or later it wont be considered a performance enhancing drug but rather a vitamin that becomes a part of our daily routine. But I guess that's a discussion for another thread.
