http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=k3fne6v Celtics would add in a 2014 and 2015 1st round pick. Since they own an extra in both drafts, then can trade back to back picks.
Bradley is essentially the price of getting Aldridge. Blazers won't do it for cap relief/draft picks alone. With Bradley they get a young defensive wizard, who's offensive game is still a question mark, but if it develops, could be a stud.
Crawford gives them a useful scorer off the bench. Humphries adds no longer term salary, and they grab an extra pick in a loaded draft, and another the year after. It's very rare that a team can get back to back picks in these type of deals, and that's a useful commodity, as they don't have to wait forever to realize any value on the trade.
For the Celtics, they gain some roster flexibility (important), save a little cash overall (almost important that they're hard capped, and every 1mil saved is valuable.) And they can declare the rebuild over before it even began.
This line-up next year is very young, and very good:
Rondo, Lee, Green, Sully, Aldridge
And the bench should be really solid, you have solid veterans in Bass, Wallace, and Bogans. Great potential in Olynyk who can come in and give you a floor spacing/scoring in short minutes. Plus an "x factor" scorer in Brooks. A legit back up PG (still an unknown but there's potential, as we've seen) in Pressey, and other role players who can fill spot minutes for specific purposes nicely (i.e Iverson.)
Is it a contender right away? Probably not, but I think they're an interesting 4/5 seed who'd be a dark horse in the east. They'd also still be really young, and have an incredibly valuable trade exception from the Pierce deal in their pocket to supplement that core.
Ya, I think the future would be pretty bright for that team.
