I'm trusting in Stevens to get Olynyk into the starting lineup by opening day.  I think the preseason will be ample to give KO time to make his initial adjustments to the strength and speed of the NBA game.

If Sully's there, then I expect the two to be paired together.  If not, it could be anything from Green at the 4 to Shav to whichever vet big Danny doesn't get traded.  If CI is starting with Olynyk, we'll know Danny is going for Wiggins.

I sure as hope he does.  Right now, he's looking like a awful albatross on this roster.
People call him an albatross as if there is alternative use for his salary slot over the next three years. There isn't.

Crash has to be the first forward off the bench, play something like 28 mpg and get easy transition points and rebounds, play good D and feel like a 6th man. That would maximize his value to a contender/fringe contender. He's not a good option as a starter at this point, so there's that.

Philly is under the salary floor, right? Humphries was DNP-CD for a lot of games last season, so they can use him that way if they're afraid it will hurt their tanking season. Danny has to send him for a TPE and a 2nd rounder. Humphries contract will be more valuable at the trade deadline, where the Sixers could get something better than the 2nd rounder. Win-win. Do it Danny.

Bass is a good player, but he could help the Pacers or even the Wolves who are trying to build something around Love/Pek/Rubio. Send Bass to the Pacers for Mahinmi+future 2nd or to Minnesota for Derrick Williams. Either way, the Celtics save 2M/year, and get another trade chip.

Start Sully/Kelly and give minutes off the bench to Crash and the youngsters. Maybe at the trade deadline or around the 2014 Draft, Crash will have some value and help you to get an All Star big (Marc Gasol/Aldridge).

Call it whatever you want but its a junk contract given the quality of player & length.

If he plays like he did in 2012, it's a terrible contract.

If he plays like he did in 2011, it's not a great contract but it's not bad.

The question we'll have to wait for an answer on is how much of his *dramatic* falloff in play last season was due to the Nets' system being a poor fit for him, and how much can be attributed to his getting older.  He's only going to be 31 next season, not young but not ancient.  I'm real interested to see how he plays alongside Rondo, AB, Lee, Jeff Green, and now KO; there's a lot of guys out there who can get up and down the court, if they can get rebounds and be on the attack, I believe Wallace can be a pretty good fit.

One think I don't particularly care for is that all the talk of G.Wallace is surrounding his contract...while its more than he deserves it shouldn't imply that this guy is a bad player or a bad teammate...Wallace is a veteran who throws himself into everything...I've read that he is a supportive teammate, expects a lot of himself and his team, and has been through it all before with the Bobcats.

Don't get me wrong...If we can move him we should...but I do believe the C's in particular Jeff Green could gain from seeing his effort.
