Wow.

Biggest chip on the market and the Lakers have no picks, tradeable assets nothing...nada.

The writing was on the wall but they didn't wanna see it.
This is one of the biggest G.M./Ownership FAILs I have witnessed.

They should have pushed for a S&T to the Warriors. While Houston is a better fit than LA, I think Warriors would have really complemented Dwight's style, and LA could have gotten Thompson or Barnes back. Now they have nothing, and they are looking like a lottery team this upcoming season.

A bogut Barnes for Dwight could have been all kind of win for the lakers. Solves need at 2 spots. MWP should be a sixth man. But im happy the Lakers get nothing. However now if they fail in making playoffs and suck and they get the number 1 pick..... conspiracy

  • Ashy To Classy, baby.
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

And with the 1st pick in the 2014 draft, the Los Angeles Lakers select....

I know.

Sometimes life is indeed good.
I believe Gandhi is the only person who knew about real democracy — not democracy as the right to go and buy what you want, but democracy as the responsibility to be accountable to everyone around you. Democracy begins with freedom from hunger, freedom from unemployment, freedom from fear, and freedom from hatred.

The good think is that the lakers management won't learn their lesson and will continu to be arrogant and think they can get anything they want.
As long as they are like that, I won't fear the lakers. I never did anyway. They get lucky in 2010, we so deserved the title in that year too.

Sort of poetic justice for them trading away Bynum, who then missed the entire year.

When's the last time anyone spurned the Lakers?

Happy to see this  ;D

I'd love to see Phil Jackson come back now ;D

If you ever feel bad Celtics fans....remember.....you're NOT a Lakers fan. And if THAT doesn't give you a warm happy buzz I don't know what will.

With Kobe coming back from Achilles, Nash a year OLder Metta world a Gasol who's an emotional basket case...these guys could be staring at Wiggins

PFF... check the other threads, I had this the minute Dwight chose Houston! it's the only possible outcome to all this.

Also this was kind of funny when you step back and think about it:
