Any 1st round draft pick next year.

Come on Really? The 29th pick for Rondo. No way.

I probably would too if they took Wallace as well.

2014 unprotected first round pick for Rondo + Wallace. Assuming it will be from a team over the cap, we need to take on a big expiring.

Of course I would love that Detroit package mentioned yesterday but doubt that's anything with legs.

Getting rid of Wallace is huge. As in we'd have to take a huge hit. Lose picks, get less for Rondo...etc.

Again, don't understand why people would want to expend effort to get rid of that contract when we're rebuilding.

Part of the "win" in making a Rondo trade is the idea of improving the odds of getting a high pick next year.  That's tough to quantify.  I'm not looking to beat trade partners into submission with the move.  Those who are looking for that sort of deal are likely to be disappointed.

If he comes back and averages like 15 and 11 and 6 with 1.5 steals a game compared to 10/10/4/1 we could ask for a lot more

I'd want a first rounder and a star

I think we're still one of the bottom 5 teams next year, even with Rondo. So losing him doesn't necessarily help us "tank". Besides, we don't need to have the absolute worst record in league history to get the number one pick. If we had the 4th worst record or something, we could still get the first overall pick.
