So please, stop using it in your arguments. That's all, thanks. Let's win a championship next year, what do you say?

No clue lol, but the assumption that he'll miss half a season is just plain wrong.

He should be ready to start the season or near it, but who knows.

Agreed. He's coming back sooner than people expect.

He was injured in late February.  That sort of injury usually takes a little less than a year to fully recover from.  With the team in rebuild mode, there's no way they'll rush him back.

I don't expect him to miss half the season, but I doubt he'll be playing before December, and even once he's back I think he'll come back relatively slowly and they'll probably hold him out of games anytime he has even a minor injury.

I'd expect Rondo to play about 50-55 games next season.

Yep, and Derrick Rose was not supposed to miss the playoffs last year   ::)

... And we are still waiting to see if rose ever returns.

Hopefully ainge pulls off a miracle trade and this stops being our problem

This kind of injuries requires 1 year fully coverage, in any kind of sports, not only in basketball. Who have a little bit of general information about sports in general knows this fact. Plus...sometimes coverage of injury is more than one year

As a point of reference, TA got injured in January. He was there to begin the next season.

That said, if Ainge puts together a solid roster, do you envision him returning sooner then?

I guess the crux of it is the argument people are bringing to the table to not build a contending roster this year because "Rondo is going to miss half a season, not worth it". Makes no sense regardless to me.

To be fair, guys, Rose tore both his MCL and ACL, while Rondo just tore his ACL.  Rose's injury was more severe.

Derrick Rose didn't miss it because he was unable to play, he missed it because he's a bit of a coward. He's weak. Rondo is as tough as they come. No need to compare them.

Iman Shumpert...

...Ricky Rubio.

Both guards tore the ACLs and both made successful returns. Enough with the "Rondo's career is practically over" propaganda.

I don't know why people keep comparing Rose's injury situation to Rondo's. Not only was his ACL tear much worse, he was cleared to play in like, March.

Redd injured in January 2009, returned to start the next season. He re-tore his ACL and MCL in January of 2010. So... not a good example to use, actually supports the argument of expecting Rondo to come back to begin the season.
