So please, stop using it in your arguments. That's all, thanks. Let's win a championship next year, what do you say?

Thanks for clarifying, lol.

Hope this means no more speculation that Rondo will be out til either Christmas, or New Years, or Valentine's Day or St. Patrick's Day.

He was injured in late February.  That sort of injury usually takes a little less than a year to fully recover from.  With the team in rebuild mode, there's no way they'll rush him back.

I don't expect him to miss half the season, but I doubt he'll be playing before December, and even once he's back I think he'll come back relatively slowly and they'll probably hold him out of games anytime he has even a minor injury.

I'd expect Rondo to play about 50-55 games next season.

Rondo actually suffered the injury in late-January and I thought his expected time-table was 6-9 months.

Regardless, I am hoping that Rondo's "injury" won't be one of the storylines of the 2013-14 season, nor should it be.

Also, as mentioned, Derrick Rose's injury was FAR more severe than Rondo's.

... And we are still waiting to see if rose ever returns.

Hopefully ainge pulls off a miracle trade and this stops being our problem

To compare a partial ACL tear to a severe ACL AND MCL tear is downright comical. Not to mention that Redd tore both his ACL and MCL TWICE, which is an absolute career ender.

Actually, Redd supports NOT rushing RR back, since he re-tore his ACL after only 3 months of basketball.  Perhaps he rushed back too soon???????????  Sure seems that way!!

I almost got banned for implying a 4 letter word and you start..START a thread with the word "Breaking:" and it's actually not a news item at all but an opinion ???

I'm the only person who thought there was news and a link in here apparently.

This kinda stuff ....no offense and don't wanna get banned or see anyone banned but a Mod should use this as an example of baiting.

Fab Melo.  He had a bunch of blocks against some 4'7 D-leaguers once.

I have read that Rondo called and spoke with Adrian Peterson regarding his injury and rehab because they were extremely similar injuries. Peterson injured his knee in Dec. 2011 and by August 2012 was dominating in football.

This injury(an ACL tear alone) is no longer a year injury for athletes. Its getting to be a 7-9 month injury, dependent on the athletes toleration of pain during rehab. Rondo once played a game with a separated elbow. I think his pain toleration level is fairly high.

BC is right. Rondo, who was reported doing two-a-days and running over a month ago, will be ready by season's start. The Celtics have already said they expect him back by then.

Huh? When people are using as fact that Rondo is going to miss half a season, it's breaking news to them.

What are you expecting? Someone out there to confirm that Rondo is not going to miss half a season? Come on, it's a fact that he is not expected to miss a season. I guess I should've put "Old News!: Rajon Rondo is not expected to miss half a season".

There is no way to make comparision. Depend from the player, from who made the surgery, the impact after surgery etc etc. Hope fast recovery for him as a human being, sincerely

I heard something on the news about a guy who died from complications from having his wisdom teeth pulled. I'll expect you to start talking about Rondo having a possible career-ending teeth cleaning the next time he goes to the dentist.

Are you somehow of the opinion that people never have successful knee surgery and always end up like Redd, or do you just think that's what happens to most athletes?

It's well known that Redd did not take rehab seriously. He did not follow his regimen closely, gained a ton of weight, and returned way out of shape.

From everything I've heard, Rondo's been fiercely focused on getting back by training camp, and hasn't had any setbacks.

I'm expecting somebody to know that putting the work "Breaking:"in front of a post title is gonna make a lot of people thing that a new story just...ya know...broke and jump in like me expecting more than an opinion that has already been expressed many times.

I hope this place doesn't have a wave of "Breaking" opinions because somebody might skip em' and miss an actual ya know....old skool breaking news story.

Whatever...enjoy.

He'd probably be your choice no matter what happens, nobody else on the roster is tall enough to be the team's best player.

I met Fab in an elevator with Avery Bradley.  Nice fella.  I hope he's our starting center next year... I can smell the ping pong balls already.
