Hmmm, one team that might be interested in Crash... I'd welcome Asik, no interest on Lin.

Would love Asik, not so much on Lin. If he fit into our trade exception then I think we could get him for a first.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

What did I say in the other thread? If they land Howard (which it looks like they're feeling quite confident about), they trade Asik. There's no way they were going to keep Howard AND Asik.

Hit the phone, Danny. Asik absolutely blew everyone's expectations out of the water last year, and stamina will be even less of an issue after one complete season as a starter under his belt. He's 26, still has room to prove, and is already a defensive and rebounding force. He fits right in alongside Rondo and Green, and would make for an absolutely phenomenal start to retooling.

Just hit the trade machine..Rondo and Bass for Asik and Lin works...also Rondo for Asik and Jones works, then Houston could trade Lin to someone else...ahhh, i love the offseason

Crazy!

Is it Asik and Lin or Brooks and Robinson or all of the above. Asik and Lin would be sweet; but how do we clear roster / cap space to make way for them.

They're looking to contend now. Lin is a good player, but he has way too many deficiencies to be the starting PG of a contender. And quite honestly, it's very easily debatable whether he should be starting for any team. They don't have any better options at PG, but with Harden, Parsons, and now Howard (theoretically), it would be very easy for them to lure in a PG from free agency. With Jennings, Teague, and others available on the market, it's not surprising they're shopping Lin.

Wonder if Hou could get Bledsoe or would want him.

Would you prefer Bledsoe over Lin if you were Houston?  I dont know enough about Bledsoe to have a solid opinion.

Ken Berger of CBS tweets Lin could go to detroit in sign and trade for Jose Calderon

I don't think they want to have Lin as their PG with Howard/Harden.

The issue is that LAC is looking for a solid wing option in return for Bledsoe. The only guy the Rockets have is Parsons, and I don't think they're giving him up for Bledsoe when they can either just keep Lin, or pursue other alternatives.

This would probably be a good fit.  A pass-first PG like Calderon would work very well with Houston with or without Howard.

Rondo would be a great point guard with Harden and Howard, or at least so goes the conventional wisdom.  (I actually thing Harden and Howard would get frustrated with Rondo if held the ball as much as he did with the Celtics).

Think they would go Lin, Asik, and Chandler Parsons for Rondo and say Melo?  They save money (which is part of their plan) and they get the PG that DH may want now that he can't have Chris Paul.
