Ainge has told people he plans to build around Jeff Green, Avery Bradley and Jared Sullinger. It sure seems like they'll be "rebuilding" next season to set themselves up for a good draft pick in the supposedly great 2014 draft. They've been dangling Rondo for years now. He'll have to prove he's healthy, but I expect teams to be looking to get him. Ainge is setting a standard here that he doesn't require proven talent back in big deals.

This was talked about for trading Rondo.

I like rondo but without KG and PP, I dont think he's gonna fit in.  he want to run the show and we need a guy that can control the schemes not take them over.  that's kinda what this team sport called basketball is predicated on.

Wonder where Rondo will land.  Probably to a team like Charlotte for an underperforming unproven young talent like MKG.  Kid is 19, will help with the tank and can be a asset long-term.

Youth and/or picks.  Here's a list of the youngest players currently in the NBA (prior to the draft):  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_oldest_and_youngest_National_Basketball_Association_players#Active_2

Rondo/Lee for Kemba, MKG?

I don't understand this desire to sell low on Rondo.  Luckily, I have faith that Ainge appreciates what a special talent he has in Rajon Rondo.

I'd do something like that...

or something like... Trade Rondo and Wallace to the Pistons for Charlie V (expiring 8 mil), Brandon Knight and Andre Drummond.  Calderon is a free agent and they have a ton of cap room to absorb contracts.  Then maybe they can sign Josh Smtih and roll with Rondo, Smith and Monroe.

1. i think this is a long term deal, i dont think rondos getting traded anytime soon so stop with the made up trades

2. all 3 have 2 things in common: age (very young) and value contracts (producing more than contract worth)

Could be traded sooner than you think.

Rondo's the same age as Green . No way I am trading Rondo unless we are getting a high lottery pick next year , or a star player back, or great package of rookie contracts and picks .

Can't see them moving Monroe.

They can just amnesty Charlie V and save us the cash. But Id love that deal.

I think that's pretty much the opposite of what he was saying the other night.
