Dear god, no idea what this means.

Just heard Marc on espn radio and he touched on Rondo. Said he heard Celtics likely looking to act quickly on Rondo and would likely be "best for everyone" if Rondo is not on a young rebuilding team.

well that would be a full-on tank mode.  if that's true and Rondo is traded, I'd have to expect Jeff Green is next on the block.  makes just as little sense to keep him on a rebuilding team

Swell.
At least a goldfish with a Lincoln Log on its back goin' across your floor to your sock drawer has a miraculous connotation to it.

Once KG and Pierce moved, Ainge has little to no motivation to trade Rondo unless he lands us a bona-fide big fish... other than that, looking to "quickly unload" is just pure nonsense.

Obviously not surprised but this is getting sickening. Never seen a team I love stripped down so quickly.

Are we changing our name to the Marlins next year?

I cant imagine DA would want to trade away Rondo after openly supporting him at last nights conference. I also dont think we could get proper value AS OF RIGHT NOW due to his injury. Maybe next offseason, trade him for a 2014 1st rounder+players? But I dont see it happening this year.

But then again, with all these recent events, who knows.  ???

Better to do it like a bandaide!

But seriously im not sure why you would trade rondo now when his value is lowest
CB Draft LA Lakers: Lamarcus Aldridge, Carmelo Anthony,Jrue Holiday, Wes Matthews  6.11, 7.16, 8.14, 8.15, 9.16, 11.5, 11.16

doesn't make sense
ainge is all about trade value
rondo is injured, his value is at all time low, his contract is team friendly
moving bass or wallace would be a bigger incentive to ainge

Nah Jeff will stay. His deal is too good.
He's not good enough to single hand-idly get us out of the bottom 3 teams in the league.

Lamont
Bradley
Green
Sully
Olnyk

wow we'd be horrendous.
That's just what we want I guess if we want Wiggins/Parker.
"We are lucky we have a very patient GM that isn't willing to settle for being good and coming close. He wants to win a championship and we have the potential to get there still with our roster and assets."

quoting 'Greg B' on RealGM after 2017 trade deadline.
Read that last line again. One more time.

I guess the best case scenario here is a team that could end up in the lottery next year will give up an unprotected pick for Rondo, and Rondo misses at least half the season.

Though, with how this off-season is going, I'm assuming they'll just give away Rondo for a bad contract and a 2016 draft pick that's bound to be in the 20s.

I bet Rondo ends up having very good trade value. They need to be asking for an unprotected 2014 lotto pick and a young building block type of player if they are indeed tanking.

Best case would be that plus we manage to get them to take on Wallace's deal in the process.  Someone like Charlotte might be dumb enough to fall for it, especially since Crash had his best years there.
