So if any of those teams traded for him wanting to drop him, they'd have to do a separate, costlier negotiation. There was a report of his deal becoming guaranteed if he is dealt last week, but nobody could confirm. I tweeted Coon about it but didn't hear back from him.if this is true, it essentially kills all the trade speculation for PP. why would someone trade for him if they couldn't buy him out to free up that $? lots of speculation wasted since they were knocked out of the playoffsYeah, I'm gonna go ahead and call BS on this idea that Pierce's deal becomes guaranteed if he's traded. If that were the case, there wouldn't be nearly as much talk about him being traded as there has been. Very few teams in the league are likely to be interested in Pierce at $15 million.

I don't trust anything that comes out of Broussard's mouth but at least he's got a 50/50 chance of being right. Howard is such an enigma that I don't think anyone truly knows what's going on in his head, including himself. He'll either remain in LA or be wearing a Rockets uni come fall.
Kobe just can't get along with the top C in the league no matter who it is at the time.
Quote from: rondohondo on June 27, 2013, 09:10:19 AMTake it fwiw , but brousard was just on espn saying , he is being told on strong terms that Dwight is gone. Houston and Dallas going after him This is Dwight Howard, who chooses nba teams the way many women choose the outfit they'll wear when they go out at night. Expect him to change his mind multiple times before anything happens.
