By being difficult, the Clippers have backed the Celtics into a corner. When Doc still had the option to return, the Celtics could demand compensation to let him out of his deal. Now that this issue has continued in the news for so long, the Celtics have lost all leverage as it seems Doc really can't come back anymore after this.I don't like the precedent of not getting compensation. The coach is under contract. You can't just let him go when information gets leaked to the press or teams will always leak information to the press for leverage.
Why don't the Celtics just let Doc out of his contract so he can get hired by LA?It's quite obvious that you can NOT just swap a coach for a 1st round pick in the NBA.And then, why don't the Celtics and Clippers just do a separate deal with KG going to LA for Jordan, Butler and a 1st round pick? Then in the end, KG and Doc still end up in LA.Not sure why this has become so complicated!!
Why does David stern get in the way of anything remotely related to Chris Paul ? Does it have to do with cp3s position with the players union?
this deal is dead, danny is back to square one

Got a link?sterling is cheap, it was hard enough for him to pay doc 7 mill, now his going to give picks aswell? think you might see flying bacon first
it gives sterling the perfect get out of the deal, the only reason he wanted to do the deal is to appease paul, now he can say see i tried to do it, but the league won't let me
