Clippers waiting for better Eric Bledsoe offer, according to report

Bledsoes worth a little bit but the Clips are delusional as to how much he's really worth. They probably think they can get an all star for the guy

That explains why the Clippers were reluctant to trade us Butler's expiring deal.

Maybe a 3 team deal could get worked out?

Once this goes down, I bet this site will be flooded with threads about Pierce trade rumors. I still haven't heard one that I think makes that much sense.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Dwight Howard?

my bad, I read the link finally. Meh of a deal, Afflalo is overrated and so is Bledsoe.

For those that so want this team turned into the Minnesota Timberwolves after KG left them, let's remember something. Since trading KG, Minnesota has been a laughing stock of a franchise. They have had the worst record one year, the second worst record another, and a bunch of years of equally awful, "bottom 7 in the league" performances.

They never got the first pick in the draft. All these years later...Minnesota still sucks.

And with Danny Ainge and Rondo and Green and Sully, this team should never sniff the bottom 7 in the league. That means possibly worst drafting positions than Minnesota got for ABSOLUTELY SUCKING!!!

That's what Celtic fans are supposed to put their hopes on? Get bad enough to have almost zero chance of getting a pick higher than 8 or 9?

I'ld rather go with the get cap space and sign free agents/use the space to trade for a great player/use it to sign and trade a player/use it to grab an amnestied player/or any other the other real creative things you can do to add assets with cap space. I trust any GM in this league to build winners that way than explicitly through sucking bad enough to possibly never land a great pick and being mediocre for 2 decades again.

The Celtics have tried the whole tanking thing. Its failed miserably twice!!!

Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me! Fool me three times, well, I'm just a sucker for punishment!!!

He's a young, athletic point guard who is like to get more than the MLE when he becomes a free agent.  He's exactly the sort of player that teams who overvalue youth, athleticism, and scoring may overpay for in trades.

I think it is reasonable to think they can get a pick and a useful rotation player for Bledsoe and Butler's contract.

Minny took Johnny Flynn over steph curry

they also took wesley Johnson over Cousins,Monroe,Hayward and Paul George

Danny is one of the best gm's in the league at drafting . I have complete faith that he will grab some really good talent if given the chance in the draft.

Minnesota consistently overlooked good players with early picks, the Celtics aren't that inept that they would mess up a bunch of top 5 picks. Our management was bad in the past when we tanked, now I trust in Danny's ability to draft.

I think we could tank next year, miss the playoffs, add one of the five franchise players in next year's draft to an improved Rondo, Bradley, Green, Sully and Jordan and be a very good team for an extended period.

We need to replenish our talent pool and the best way for Boston to do that is through a high pick in the draft.

Im not thrilled with losing KG but it is what it is. Ainge has his mind made up already. Doc doesn't want to be here for a rebuild, and him and KG are tied together so if Doc went to broadcasting and KG just retired, guess Ainge wants to try and get something at least picks out of it.

I read that Ainge wouldn't do a trade for KG/DJ just straight up. He wants to dump Doc and rebuild.

Our title in 08 doesnt happen if we dont tank the year before.  Without that lotto pick, we dont get Ray Allen.  Without Ray Allen, we don't get KG.

I am there as well. Clippers are worrying about Bledsoe and these other guys. If they want Doc, KG, And eventually Pierce then do the deal. If you wanna lose Cp3 then keep doing what you've been doing my whole 22 years of my life. Danny say listen either you get us Bledsoe somehow with a 1st rd pick along with DJ, OR you get Orlando involved and get us the number 2 pick. IDC if you cant get it done by the end of tomorrow then we are out.

While this is true the whole going nuclear option by trading Rondo and Green shouldn't be visited at all. Danny isn't without faults so I'm not sure he would 100% hit on the pick. Whatever...tonight is XMAS for the blow it up crowd. You've gotten your wish since the team traded for KG and gasp got older
