I hope we somehow get bledsoe
But dont think its going to happen

Yea, I think I'm certainly leaning towards Bledsoe but I doubt it as well.

Isn't Sterling cheap anyways? Adding Bledsoe would actually save him money lol

Most likely framework, amid signs of progress in talks, remains DeAndre Jordan for KG & two first-rounders for Doc Rivers' coaching rights

Stein

Would people rather have Bledsoe, or the 2 picks? I'm a little torn myself

I'd rather have the big.

I think Ainge can find a Bledsoe with 1 of the 2 picks.  Or a Tony Allen...Delonte West...Rajon Rondo...etc.  Tougher to find a decent big with those picks.

Sterling is getting punked by Chris Paul. I'm sick of these trade talks with tha Clippers. This supposed best deal for KG and Doc is a bad one at tha same time. I hope Danny throws Lee/Terry's contract back at them and kill this deal again.

Tha Clippers walked away twice. Danny should have let it be but he does have all tha marbles since tha Clippers initiated these talks again. It was said on ESPN that tha Clips feel they can get this deal done tonight but if this deal is gonna happen Danny should plug everything he can out of them. Including Bledsoe.

Agreed. If Chris Paul wants it done, and if Doc and KG (and, presumably, Pierce) are what's supposed to put the Clips over the top, then they're worth a heck of a lot more than DeAndre Jordan and two late-first-round picks.

Can I help you?

Yes, I'd like the #5 combo: Bledsoe with DJ and Caron and two sides of first-rounders, please.

Bledsoe is a little overrated, but he is still pretty darn good.  He will make a great 6th man when we are at full strength and can fill in for Rondo for the first half of the season.  No pick in the 2013 draft is likely able to do that.

The question is do we want to tank in the first half of the season and then get Rondo back, try to go out on a high note but still miss the playoffs (multiple pick route)

vs

Being competitive all next year in the East (relatively speaking) (Bledsoe route)

I would be scared to be a mediocre team for very long, but it would be nice to play Bradley at SG all year instead of having him out of position

Bledsoe = because you can trade him for a higher single pick.

I strongly suspect that Ainge would rather try and shop Pierce around and see what he can get for him in a trade.  It wouldn't be much, because I'm sure Ainge won't take back any big contracts, but there's going to be some team under the cap who will think adding Pierce will give them a shot at playoff contention without having to mortgage their future.

How high of a pick do you really think he could get?

I feel the hype machine on Bledsoe got a little out of control this past season.

A mid to late lottery pick.

Dennis Schroeder or Ricky Ledo might prove you wrong there.

It still is.  It was rumored he and Blake would be traded for Dwight.  That's a ridiculous trade.

The guy is a good backup PG.  Nothing more.

Yea, I think the 9-12 range is likely where it would settle.

I guess it's time to jump out of play it back mode and get into rebuild fast/best mode.

Being realistic, the best hope is 2 picks and Jordan.  Given that, I hope that these are unprotected 2014 and 2016 (or 2017) picks.  Alternatively, the hope would be a draft day trade allowing us to take #25 and also get 2014.

Even though 2014 Clips pick will likely be a very late pick, it will be great to have a lottery pick, a late first and an early 2nd in that draft (and maybe get a pick from Pierce).

A 2016 or 2017 pick -- who knows? It's the Clips!  They could be terrible by then.

Jordan Bledsoe and a number 1. Nothing else. Jordan and 2 low picks is a garbage deal

There's no guarantee they'll be low picks.  If either KG or CP3 blow out a knee, it wouldn't be hard for the Clips to end up out of the Western playoffs.
