Just reading the news on the Home Page of the site. Appears Doc is publicly speaking for the 1st time tomorrow after a meeting with Ainge.

What do you think happens and what do you think Doc ends up saying?

Curious what you guys think happens.

I'm pretty sure tomorrow we hear that Doc is gonna take a year or two off from coaching "for personal / family reasons" or whatever.
You’ll have to excuse my lengthiness—the reason I dread writing letters is because I am so apt to get to slinging wisdom & forget to let up. Thus much precious time is lost.

I predict Doc will be upfront at least somewhat and admit he doesn't want to go through with the re-build and that he had 2nd thoughts about going to the clippers and is going to resign to go back into broadcasting.

A lot of damage has been done here.  It's like trying to take back a girl that's cheated on you.  It's never going to be thesame no matter how hard to try to act like nothing happened.  It'll be best for Doc to take time off for a while.

Rondo look up to this guy like a father figure.  He clings onto everything he says.  How is that relationship going to be now?  Everybody's just full of Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline.

Not sure where you got that impression, but I am pretty sure they have a professional relationship.

I do think Rondo will be motivated, but I think Doc can still remain a Celtic. I think he will explain the situation

So it appears everyone believes Doc will bow out today right???

So does that mean KG is done too???

Just curious what you guys think is the final outcome here.

It's obvious Doc still wants to coach but does he still want to coach this team. As I posted on tha home page I hope he uses this moment to clear his side of this mess up and not give "we'll see" or "I don't know" answers.

Though this has put him in a weird position with tha team, I hope he comes back to coach tha C's.

Doc retires. KG will follow him. Paul gets traded. Mix in some Rondo rumors, and that's this year's offseason covered.

I know how he got it...the same way I did...by observation.

Rajon knows he's a pain in the ass but it's who he is. After all the ups and downs and words of praise from a person some consider to be one of the better coaches he no doubt has a kind of bond that was created by having to have a boss...the same one for a long while. I doubt Rajon lets most folks get too close so outside family and maybe K.G I can't see anyone closer. Just consider the amount of time they have spent together in the past few years. Paul has been in for a long bit and K.G. was under other bosses but it would seem the person who would and kinda should be the most p---ed is Rajon.

Danny? It's kinda his job and Rajon can rationalize it but Doc? Gonna walk to coach the Clips and now probably will take time off....yeah I can see how this might cut deep for a person with thin skin.

Just something I read today somewhere and it made me think of this whole situation.

"Grab a plate and throw it on the floor."

'OK. Done."

"Did it break?"

"Yes."

"Now say you're sorry to it."

"Sorry."

"Did it go back to how it was before?"

"No."

"Do you understand?"

I'm not saying people can't forgive Doc for what happened, should he decide to come back...but they won't forget.  I understand that sometimes people need a change of scenery, I've been there myself in life, but it still stings a bit when you are the person or the fan-base in this case that represents the organization that is now feeling unwanted and hurt.

I hope Doc just say he needs a break.  Things are just different now.  He will probably say that he needs a change of scenery, say a million good things about the Celtics organization, the players, personnel, management/ownership, and then leave it at that.
