Just something I read today somewhere and it made me think of this whole situation.
"Grab a plate and throw it on the floor."
'OK. Done."
"Did it break?"
"Yes."
"Now say you're sorry to it."
"Sorry."
"Did it go back to how it was before?"
"No."
"Do you understand?"
I'm not saying people can't forgive Doc for what happened, should he decide to come back...but they won't forget. I understand that sometimes people need a change of scenery, I've been there myself in life, but it still stings a bit when you are the person or the fan-base in this case that represents the organization that is now feeling unwanted and hurt.
I hope Doc just say he needs a break. Things are just different now. He will probably say that he needs a change of scenery, say a million good things about the Celtics organization, the players, personnel, management/ownership, and then leave it at that.
