I'm not going to assume he killed somebody, but it clearly looks like he's covering up for whoever did.

I guess this is the downside to drafting and signing guys regardless of their off-the-field issues.
As for the legal side of things, well, I don't think they can send him to jail for obstruction or destroying evidence or whatever unless they find something to indicate that there ever was evidence. Which, you know, there won't be if those cleaning people did a good job.
