Wow, call this one of the least productive days I have had in a long time at work  ???

If  Smith is our end game, I will not be as happy as others are with combining him, Rondo and Jordan. I have no idea who would be finishig games for us in that scenario. You could literally foul 60% of our team and be overwhelmingly confident we will not make 2 FT's and 1 would be a fifty fifty proposition as well. Jeff Green will always need to get the ball on the inbound.

Please, let this nightmare of a Celtics day end.

I for one, am not looking forward to watching the Los Angeles Celtics next year either.

Can't wait to see the Celtics end up with a mid lottery pick and miss out on Parker and Wiggins...the meltdown on this board will be amazing

  • A true Celtic plays with heart.
If we don't at least flip Pierce for Smith, I'm going to really cry... Like seriously, if we don't at least unload Terry and Lee, and get Jordan plus a low top pick I'll hate DA for this for a LONG LONG time.

The #Celtics tweets of fans who think the NBA is all about how well you bounce a ball up and down are hilarious.

I really hope Danny walks away right now. The Clippers think they have all the leverage and maybe they do, but they still have to worry about re-signing Paul.

We aren't getting a good enough deal back right now to make it worth our while (unless KG and Doc are both leaving anyway). I'd rather leave this deal now and let them stew over it for a few days.

I think there is a good chance they come back in a few days with a better offer, Chris Paul is obviously interested in playing with KG and for Doc I don't think Hollins/Shaw and whatever else they might be able to get back for Bledsoe/Jordan will be as good as KG.

Walk away Danny. Walk away.

In other words......Celtics might now not just release Pierce so he can sign with the Clippers so Doc isn't sure he wants to go to LA now. The whole plan was for all three to end up in LA but maybe since the C's can't get Bledsoe, they have decided to screw with the whole plan and now don't care where Pierce ends up. Maybe they trade Pierce for cap release to anyone who might just keep him.

I would love this.

Well I've changed my mind on Jordon.  If he can just get to the free throw line 27 times a game, he can be a double digit scorer.  Totally doable.  Teams will be lining up to foul him.

It wouldn't surprise me if this was the case.  If so, good - the Pierce play is the last bit of leverage we have left, either in this deal or another.

Sic semper collusion.

Which he should. At this point, if Pierce isn't going to retire a Celtic, then we should be looking to get something in return.

I don't think the clippers have all the leverage.  Clippers can't just get Doc without the deal.  Doc + KG at least makes CP3 feel better about re-signing.  If I am DA I back away from the table for a few days and see if the clippers will add bledsoe back to the deal.  If so, take it.  If not, let doc and KG retire, and do what you will with PP.

The way the Clippers are trying to jerk us around that would almost make me happy. The problem is that I don't want to send off Pierce to some weak team with no chance of winning. The Clippers are trying to screw us in this deal. They won't give up anything while trying to gain the world.
