Drafting Ledo only makes sense if Celtics wanna trade their draft pick for an early second rounder... there will be much better players available at #16!

Ledo at 16 is a bad pick.  Ledo near the end of the 1st might be worth the risk if they were in a position to develop talent for another year.  C's really could use someone bigger that could earn minutes next year

Did Danny workout Sully or Melo last year?

The Celtics brought Melo in for a workout.  I don't remember a Sullinger workout, but I could be wrong.

Like you said Melo worked out, I dont think Sully did but that was likely because he wasnt projected to be available.

I think the workout list is a good projections of who the Cs are looking at with the draft day dropper being the obvious change to this list.

Last years workout list, that I put together

as of 6/4

Draymond Green       PF
Rakim Sanders        SF
Andrew Nicholson     PF
Robert Sacre         C
Darryl Partin        SG x 2
Will Barton          SG
Marcus Denmon        SG
Darrio Hunt          PF
Kervin Bristol       PF
Moe Harkless         SF
Orion Outbridge      PF
Terrance Ross        SG
Harrison Barnes      SF
Jeffrey Taylor       SF
Fab Melo             C
Festus Ezeli         C
Meyers Leonard       C added to list 6/1 @4:24
Quincy Miller        SF added to list 6/4
Darius Miller        SF
Kris Joseph          SF
Drew Gordon          PF
Kyle O' Quinn        PF/C
Reggie Willhite      SG
Doron Lamb           SG added to list 6/14
John Jenkins         SG
Nathaniel Lester     SG
Erving Walker        PG
Jae Crowser          SF added 6/25

The three outliers from last year where Barnes, Leonard and Ross who where projected before the Cs pick.

Yeah, I don't think the Celtics worked out Sully.  I bet they didn't even inquire and if they had, his agent would've rejected it.  The only other player I can recall Ainge taking without working the player out beforehand is Gerald Green who I think only worked out for the top 3 teams that year, which turned out to be a bad decision.  Where the Celtics were at the time, there was no way Ainge could've passed on Green.  His lack of ballhandling had to be a major draw too.

I'm not sure if Bradley worked out or if he couldn't because he had injured his ankle during a workout with OKC.  He was planned for a workout anyway.

I'm just parsing post-draft comments but the workouts don't seem to be an insignificant factor either.  Ainge seems to bring up what players did in the workouts every year.  Kris Joseph apparently was one of the most impressive players in the workouts last year.  Rondo's workout was supposedly legendary, so was Orien Greene's.  Then again, Jefferson was said to have a bad workout, to the point that Ainge had to show Doc game footage immediately after so he could see that Jefferson was actually good.  Since they ended up taking Jefferson, maybe workouts aren't too big of a deal, who knows.  They still worked him out though so at least their interest was known.

Switch Withey and Larkin, move Ledo to 2nd round and move at least half those 2nd round guys to undrafted free agent types and I think you will be about right.
