These guys look like late second round or free agent fodder. Danny must be working them out to see if buying a 2nd rounder is worth the cost.

  • I'm a Paul Heyman guy.
I like the idea of having Colton Iverson in our deep roster. Another big man who may or may not make an NBA roster but is known to play physical.
2019 CStrong Historical Draft 2000s OKC Thunder.
PG: Jrue Holiday / Isaiah Thomas / Larry Hughes
SG: Paul George / Aaron McKie / Bradley Beal
SF: Paul Pierce / Tayshaun Prince / Brian Scalabrine
PF: LaMarcus Aldridge / Shareef Abdur-Raheem / Ben Simmons
C: Jermaine O'neal / Ben Wallace

My guess is based on this T-Will won't be making that roster  :(

That's Summer League I think? Different from this I think.

We'd have a better chance getting a late first round pick than a second rounders with the guaranteed money the 1st gets.

I want Ricky Ledo.  He could be good trade fodder down the line.

To me, this is painfully obvious:   Danny is probably betting that at least one of these guys will go un-drafted!

ALL of these guys are projected to go in the 2nd round.  More likely, one or two will slip out of the draft.

Danny could then issue one a camp invite and try to get him dirt cheap.   Basically, this looks like insurance to replace T-Will.

I supposed it is possible Danny will trade down - maybe go for a lower 1st round pick somewhere around #20 and a 2nd rounder.   He'd still have a good chance to grab a decent 1st round pick (this draft is pretty flat from 10-20) and then could pick one of these PGs in the 2nd.

But I think it's just as likely one or two of these guys will simply be available as an FA after the draft.
NBA Officiating - Corrupt?  Incompetent?  Which is worse?  Does it matter?  It sucks.

added two more thats 9 out of 12 and all 6 PGs. My guess is that the last 3 are bigs to go with Iverson but kind figure out who. I was guessing Muscala and Cooley but no facts yet.

Per Baxter Holmes

"Beginning on Friday, the Celtics will host up to 12 draft prospects for workouts over two days, NBA sources said. Six are point guards, a position where the Celtics could use some help: Shane Larkin of Miami, Phil Pressey of Missouri, Pierre Jackson of Baylor, Peyton Siva of Louisville, Erick Green of Virginia Tech, and Myck Kabongo of Texas. Centers Jeff Withey of Kansas, Steven Adams of Pittsburgh, Colton Iverson of Colorado State, and Greg Echenique of Creighton are also scheduled to attend. The Celtics have the No. 16 pick in the first round on June 27. They do not have a second-round selection . . . The schedule was announced for the Orlando Summer League. The Celtics will play July 7 against Orlando, July 8 against Detroit, July 9 against Indiana, and July 10 against Houston. Games on July 12 are TBD . . . Sullinger said he hasn’t talked to Garnett or Pierce and that he doesn’t know whether they’ll play for the Celtics next season, but he said he supports them either way. "

Ricky Ledo SG 5/24
Peyton Siva PG 5/24
Phil Pressey PG 5/24
Colton Iverson C 5/24
Pierre Jackson PG 5/24
Erick Green PG 5/24
Vander Blue SG 5/24
Myck Kabongo PG 5/24
Shane Larkin PG 5/24
Jeff Withey C 5/24
Steve Adams C 5/24
Greg Echenique C 5/24

So first workouts 4 centers,  2 SGs, 6 Pgs

Do you have a link for this?  Supposedly Ledo had a promise, and he wasn't in the Baxter Holmes story.

Ricardo Ledo will meet/workout with the Boston Celtics on Friday, Danny Ainge has the 16th pick in the First Round."

not the best source, but its also a very obscure topic to make up a lie about

It's not a matter of making up a lie.  But they could have bad (or old) information.

Anyways, I think Ledo would be a very interesting guy for the C's to work out.  In such a weak draft, Ledo could be a real sleeper as a high risk, high reward pick.
