The C's on the other hand, are missing their best player (arguably), are very thin up front, and have no one who can break down defenses, and create shots when the defense tightens up.
Yes, the Celtic's best player was missing from the first two games but it isn't Rondo, it is KG. KG played old to start the season and we were average, even with Rondo. Then there was a stretch where KG played great, it coincided Rondo being out, and we were very good; beating all the best teams.
Then KG got hurt and the team became below average (no Rondo and no KG). A tall skinny man in a Celtics uniform is back but it doesn't appear to be KG. That is the main problem in my opinion.
Rondo would help; he could make us average again like at the beginning of the season.
Haha. Rondo could make us average again like we were during the season. Just like he did last year when he almost led us to the finals, or maybe like he did in 2010 when he did get us there. It's not like we don't see the team play poorly for stretches during the season *every single year*, eventually people should be able to see the pattern.
How did Rondo do in 2009 when we lost to Orlando in the playoffs? That year KG was injured and we were not much better than average.
2010 was the last year that KG was really healthy and yes, we made it to game 7 of the finals. You seem to think that was all about Rondo. I disagree. I think it is KG that makes the difference or at least a much bigger difference than Rondo.
2010-2011 was KG's bad knee year and he was gimpy in the playoffs, we lost in 5 to Miami.
In 2011-2012, KG was finally pretty healthy (albiet a little older) and we take Miami to 7. Yeah, Rondo was good I see it as being more about KG.
This season as well, Rondo went down and we played better. Not becasue Rondo was gone but because KG had a good stretch. KG gets hurt, we drop to the cellar. KG come back part way, we get a little better.
