Report of torn ACL for Gronk just now on Comcast.  MRI to confirm tomorrow.

This loss takes away our win. I'd much rather lose to the Browns and have a healthy Gronkowski in the long run.

Before anyone accuses anyone of being a somewhat hypocritical homer I want to say that penalty flag at the end that went in the Pats favor was absurd. Very ticky tack.  A direct result of the rules changes that were designed to not let the Pats play good defense on Peyton Manning, which helped directly result in video game numbers.

Ditto. Pats injury situation this year is Jeff Foxworthy silly street.
Couple that with our tight budget next year (meaning Talib and Edelman might not be back) and I just want to cry hot tears of frustration.

Gronk with torn ACL and MCL. Out at least 8-9 months.
I'm predicting we don't see Gronk until the 2015 season.

Pats now have inside track to top seed

By virtue of San Diego's win over Denver on Thursday night, the New England Patriots now control their destiny for the top seed in the AFC, which would result in home-field advantage throughout the playoffs.

The loss pushes Denver to 11-3, a half game better than New England; however, because the Patriots own the head-to-head tiebreaker, if the Patriots win out, they would own the best record in the conference.

The Patriots have three games remaining, including two on the road. If they defeat Miami, Baltimore and Buffalo, they'll earn the top seed in the conference for the third time in four seasons.

Below is an updated look at the AFC playoff standings:

Division leaders
1. Denver: 11-3 (clinched playoff berth)
2. New England: 10-3
3. Cincinnati: 9-4
4. Indianapolis: 8-5 (clinched AFC South)
Wild-card leaders
5. Kansas City: 10-3
6. Baltimore: 7-6
In the mix
7. Miami: 7-6
8. San Diego: 7-7
9. New York Jets 6-7

Bill has played this game FAR too conservatively, IMO ... and where the heck is the hurry-up?!? Jeez ... disappointing attack.

Brady putting it together in the 4th.  Dejavu all over again.

Maybe not. Brady's miracle once again with 1:15 left?  I predict he runs out of luck this time.

Brady is so good in the 2 minute drill. Amendola should have had that.

That pick by the Dolphins at the end...you'd have had to be Tonestradamus to be there at exactly that time

Well, the defense decided to take 2 quarters off, and Brady can't throw it in the endzone in 6 attempts? Not particularly surprising outcome.

In fairness, Brady put the ball into his receiver's hands.
