Seems like they are revving up.  Donald Jones could be  a pretty good signing.  Leon Washington fills a real need at KR and should take the Woodhead role -- though I'll miss him.

Pats flirting with Abraham, Wilson and Freney.  Any of them would be interesting.  And I love the possiblity of signing the WR RFA from Pittsburgh, Sanders.  If they manage to get Sanders and can re-structure Lloyd, they'll look pretty darn good at WR/TE.

With Bolden, Vareen, Ridley and Washington, RB looks good.

Feels like they are just getting going.  I think signing Abraham and/or Freney would be great.  Then get a safety (Wilson) and  Talib!

Ed Reed has left Houston without signing contract , so he is still in play for the Pats .

It sounds like a deal with Abraham is close

Those would be huge signings and finally give the young patriots defense a leader in the secondary , and another dangerous pass rush to go along with chandler Jones.

Resign Talib, and that is finally a championship caliber defense, best since 2007.

We do have a stronger running game now, which makes the Welker/Woodhead fiasco feel a little better ... I would love Freeney, and Abraham would be a nice pickup, too.

Just saw in the free agency thread that the pats signed Adrian Wilson , so I guess no Ed Reed , but I'll take it

I'd rather have Adrian Wilson than Ed Reed TBH. Reed is more of a FS, and McCourty is awesome there. Just needed a run stopping SS to play next to him, and that's what Wilson is.

Letting Woodhead go is not a fiasco. I read Chargers are paying him $11M over 2 yrs. good for him, but too pricey for Pats. Between Vereen and Washington, Pats can handle losing Woodhead and spend the money on D.

Got Talib.

Sanders would be nice.  Getting Abraham or Freeney would be nice too.  B Llloyd is gone but apparently still possible to bring him back.  Good couple of days for the Pats.

Talib signing helps me breathe easier.
To do ( not in any particular order):

Resign Julian Edelman
Get another decent CB (could be Dowling or via draft but vet FA likely safest).
Sign a vet DE (Freeney, Abraham, Dumervil?)
Get deeper at DL (likely via draft)
Get deeper at OL ( likely via draft, but possibly FA, Vollmer if cheap)

See no point of signing edelman now. Maybe for depth but Its not worth paying much to keep him.

Reportedly, we have shown interest in Dumervil. That would be an interesting one to watch over the next couple of days.

How do people feel about sinking 6-8 million of cap space into someone who plays Chandler Jones' position?
