Am I going to be the first person to come out and say it:

It was a punk play. The game was over. There was no need and if Rondo did it a little harder he could possibly have been suspended for a Flagrant 2. It was dumb and a punk move.

nothing wrong with sending a message, even if the game is over. i liked the play. rondo didn't cost the team anything.

Not to worry; we'll unleash Darko next time.

That said, Wade should be the last person to call out punk moves against him given all the ones he pulls off and gets away with because of favoritism from the league and refs. When he grabbed Rondo by the face and shoulder and pushed him out of the way for a lay up, there was no call and then Rondo got a technical because he was complaining about the most blatant favoritism call of the night.

Well, Nick, Moranis actually said all of this on the previous page, so I guess that would make you the second to say it, haha.

I'm standing with you two on this.  It was a retaliation that was probably initiated by the no-call on the Wade arm-bar that he put on Rondo to prevent Rondo from defending a layup, and i'd imagine that Rondo's foul was further backed with lingering issues with Wade stemming back to the dislocated elbow...(also, how about that table top move Wade pulled on JGreen earlier in the game? looked a little sketchy)

It was a bit dirty, but as Yoki said, I loved it.  Basically sending a message saying "if you keep this (bleep) up, someone's going to get hurt."

I hope this doesn't become a theme with Rondo, but the message was sent.

I agree that Rondo was trying to send a message and he sent it. He just shouldn't have to be the one that does. Hell Darko should be giving out the hard hits. KG and Rondo were the only ones giving out hard fouls. They were telling the team We need to defend harder. Play harder. Games should not be comfortable and fun they should be a grind.

KG and Rondo should be the ones setting the tone for everyone, not the other way round. Don't know why you find this unusual.

I like KG and Rondo being actual tough guys rather than fake tough guys.

Bad Blood?

Good!

Tell Wade to take it up with Avery, lol.

If Rondo got under Wade's skin enough for him to mention it like this, then it's all good.

The play WAS flagrant, but I've seen a LOT worse the last few years.

When a player is focused on slights from his opponent rather than the game at hand, then advantage BOS.

so the guy who dislocated Rondo's elbow by tearing him to the floor is calling Rondo a punk?

  • Eagerly Awaiting the Next Fantasy Draft
This is a classic tale of the pot calling the kettle black. Wade dives to the group and drags his man to the ground to try to get calls. One time he did this and brought Rondo down with him. This take down resulted in a dislocated elbow. Dwayne Wade has a lot of punk in his game and shouldn't be casting stones from his glass house.
DKC:  Rockets
CB Draft: Memphis Grizz
Players: Klay Thompson, Jabari Parker, Aaron Gordon
Next 3 picks: 4.14, 4.15, 4.19

Yep. TP!!!
