I can care less about Ray Allen, Miami or whether fans want to boo or not. Ray's gone. He tarnished his own legacy and reputation with his own doing. Fans don't need to stoop low just to prove a point or show disdained for Ray, but if fans decide to boo I wouldn't be mad.

Then again, this picture above might irritate Celtics fans even more. If Ray wants to tailgate with Miami's Three Stooges, then so be it.

ugh... seeing this picture may have just changed my mind.

"jerk. jerk. jerk. ray all... *sigh* jerk."
My pic is now, and will be Fab Melo until he posts his first official NBA dbl-dbl. This may be permanent.

Judas Shuttlesworth, t-shirt night, includes boos.

(Yes, I am on CB on my honeymoon in a caribean paradise...can I get a TP for that? New wife is napping lol)

Congratulations, man! Enjoy your time there. TP.

In regards to mr. Allen, if people boo, they're entitled to it. Not that big of a deal and Allen knows it. It's a business.

I agree with this.  Booing might come back to haunt us, especially against the Heat. :-\

Surprised to see so much conflict - I'd absolutely boo him.

He went against the Celtic way: Thought the name on the back was more important than the name on the back of the jersey was more important than the name on the front. So much so that he took half the money, and left behind an obvious career legacy to get out of town.

I suppose I could learn to understand it from his perspective, but as a Celtics fan I detest him.

I still think Ray should be cheered when he is announced...and booed unmercifully once the game starts.

But if he doesn't feel he owes the organization anything, why shoudl the fan base feel that we owe him any degree of gratuity?

Because we understand loyalty more than he does apparently.

Who said anything about anyone owing anything?  I just personally appreciate what he brought the franchise, and enjoyed watching him as a player.  So I would cheer for him until he actually steps on the court.

I still think it's weird to think that Ray owes any "loyalty" to a team that tried to trade him several times, even going as to complete a deal with Memphis before it fell through.  Loyalty is a two way street.

I generally don't boo opposing players (with the exceptions of Kobe and A-rod), so I won't boo Ray.  For those fans who do, that's their right.

If I was back for that game, I would definitely cheer him in introductions.  Guy did a lot for the Celtics in his 5 years there.  Lot of good memories.

Could care less. He's gone. I won't cheer for him and during games against the Celtics I will be hoping he sucks, but I could care less if the crowd boos or cheers him.

If sometime in the future they have an occasion where they have a day of celebration for that 2008 team, I will gladly cheer him for what he meant to our team during that era, but for right now, he's just another guy on another team that I could care less about.

Gotta say, I never see him rising to the ranks of NBA players I hate LeBron or Wade or Kobe or Iverson. Not even close.

Main thing for me is the Celtics win the game., and then the championship.

Losing to his former team mates  will hurt far worse .

When we hang the banner , that will even everything up.

Out of respect for RAllen, I would probably ignore when his name is called.  Treat him just like any other player comming out of Miami's bench.  No boo, no cheer, don't care.

Is not that he chose another team, it's the team he chose to go to - that makes it hard to cheer for him.
