Great memory..was truly a daily conversation/debate/pen pal/life update...lots of fun, we all put in a lot of time.  Not sure how i got any work done?  Several others: Reyquila, Large James come to mind.

I started over at the ESPN boards. There was a troll over there named TA (TradeAinge) who used to always asked what everyone had for lunch and then critique their choices. I wonder if those boards still exist??

If I ever lose my job and have lots of time on my hands, I may start my own lunch critique over here.

I was at the ESPN board years ago too, that guy was a riot. I wondered what happened to the regulars over on the Celtics board (Sapp, Seif, jk9898, etc.)

+1 I remember those guys.  DjHerbs too.  Sapp was from the DC area like me, so I always remember him when I think of those boards.

I always remember battling New Jersey Nets trolls there back in the day, though that one guy NetsNetsNets was always hilarious

It was actually a combination of this blog, and Mike Reiss' "Reiss's Pieces" blog that inspired me to start PatriotsBlog.net in July '06.  And since, I've used my passion as a writer to help me get into college, get an internship with Syracuse Athletics, become the Managing Editor of Pats Pulpit, and land my first "real world" job.

Man, I have a lot to thank CelticsBlog for. Thanks Jeff, Roy and everyone else who helped inspire me!

This was my first, and my first forum in general. I lurked for a season in a half using mainly using the front page. Officially signed on in the 06-07 season to rant about how Doc was a terrible game manager and Gerald Green was going to be a stud. Those were good times.

Boston.com. I started posting there after 2008 and the title. I stayed there for a year and a half until someone linked this site.

I really liked how this was basically a hoopsworld or hoopshype version of celtics information. I joined in 2010 and have been posting and visiting ever since.

There was a guy at Boston.com called slippery Sam. He was like a legend over there. Reading his posts are the only thing I miss about that forum.

Ha.  I remember those.  I had a subscription to Celtics Pride back in the 80s.  I remember going to the library to scour Sunday papers (from cities all over the U.S., since I wasn't living in NE) for snippets about the C's (and general NBA news).  So thankful for the internet.  Completely awesome for fans these days.

RIP C-BILL. Was trying to remember his name before. I remember when his passing was posted, and how (if I recall this correctly) his wife or family wanted us on the board to know. Its funny how a fanboy chat room transcended anonymity and gave each of us a window into our personal lives. You could hide behind an avatar or create a new cyber ID for yourself, but in the end we all got to know what we did for work, where we were from, our kids' and wives names, and all the problems we all had day to day. Sometimes we'd even talk about the Celtics. I'm glad Jeff had a vision a bit grander than the real time chat room we were in at the time, and gave us a forum for everything Green and beyond. Thanks. It's nice to wax nostalgic.

Can't believe you left Oldfan and I off that list. Oldfan and I have since gone on to become very close friends in real life. He was nice enough to put me up when I came over to the US for the 2008 finals, we went to games 1, 2 & 6 together....memories I will never forget (that's us in my avatar )

Hey Birdwatcher....I got to know C-Bill quite well.. you said that very nicely. I got the call from C-Bill's daughter that he passed that morning right after he and I exchanged emails. His wife said she wanted me to have his Celtic DVD's and sent them to me. I didn't know him long but it was if we knew each other for a long time. Celticsblog helped that relationship andI am grateful for that. Nice post Birdwatcher...

and Scottie ... I didn't forget you or mean oldfan on my post....ugghy did a good job of remembering lots of peeps...
