Just like in College, Melo rarely got touches today. He has a nice jump shot and can throw down the alley. You can't expect moore to be able to throw these lobs
He could work on the turnaround moves and other quick moves to the baskets.
But he was great on defense out there. Love the sick block he had today. Most centres in the nba can't even make that block (i'll try to find a clip up and post).
Rebounding looks good.
Remember something. He was the 22nd pick and not the 5th. He may never be a starter in the nba, but thats ok. Could be a Jeff Foster, PJ Brown type valuable guy off the bench.
Actually the more i think about it, the more he reminds me of Stiemsma and Hollins morphed together.
As for other notes
Moore = slow. He looks fitter than last year but still hasn't gained anymore speed. 6-16 also won't cut it in the nba. Even though he was decent today, at this rate, he won't be brought back.
JJJ = Good at rebounding today but showed very little otherwise. He needs his jump shots to fall.
Sullinger = looks like in better shape. He jumped and ran better today than i have seen in college. Very promising. Like like a man with a purpose. Can't wait to see him at peak shape
Christmas = i really like this guy. He has more potential than moore imo to make the celtics team. He really gets after rebounds, plays strong defense and has a nice jump shot (all nba calibre). Even if he can't do anything else , with these tools, he could already be a role player in the nba.
