I've seen nothing to indicate that he is anything other than what he's proven to be for 4 NBA season. So he'll probably play 34 mpg, 14 points, 5-6 rebounds (less if more SF), 1.5 assists or so (which is similar to but slightly less than Al Harrington last year got, with Al player FEWER minutes and also making LESS money), shoot .450/.350/.775, TS around 54% (which would be his career high). Someone like Nic Batum put up similar numbers this year, but again in less minutes with MUCH more efficient shooting. Even Thaddeus Young puts up similar total numbers, but needs 8 less minutes to do so, and he makes less per year and his contract was in the old, more player-favorable CBA.
wow the hate he is getting from people on here really doesnt make sense. He was a good player in OKC for two years but that all seems to be offset from 2 months of mediocre play on the celtics after having no time to get comfortable or acclimated in the system. Why shouldnt he get the same he was gonna make last year? He is completely recovered from his heart surgery. Hes gonna make you guys eat your words.

Didn't he average like 11pts that half season with us? If he can get that with everyone saying how unassertive he was, doesn't it make since that now that he knows his role, he should potentially score more? He admitted that he was afraid to step on toes that season but that everyone said he has to be more assertive and that he is willing to now. I think he will average about 15pts (dunno about rebounds but our team doesn't like to anyway so I'll just throw 5 out there)... 15/5 off the bench, please and thank you!
It takes me 3hrs to get to Miami and 1hr to get to Orlando... but I *SPIT* on their NBA teams! "Bless God and bless the (Celts)"-Lady GaGa (she said gays but she really meant Celts)

I don't think it's hate...if you'll notice, i'm just basically saying he will be the same guy he was in OKC, not judging off his short boston stint at all. That's where I got those numbers from. Those were his 'good' OKC years. That's what he's done. He's never been an efficient scorer or good rebounder, ever. Never. I will be pleasantly surprised if he suddenly changes, but i don't expect it.

For 08 - 11 (about 2.5 seasons) for OKC, he averaged pretty consistentyly 15.5 pts and 6.0 rebs more or less.  My prediction would be that he would still get around 15 pts but that he will do a little better on rebs, say 7.5 rebs.

I think he could score more but won't on the Celtics and Doc will have him focused on defense and rebounding leading to improvement there.  I also think he is going to prove to be a player who is a good passer, not so much in terms of getting assists but rather just in terms of keeping the ball moving and getting it to the right guy at the right time.

I think that is the player that Doc is going to ask him to be and I think he can be that player while staying comfortably within himself and his ability.

He needed 36 minutes a game to do that.  I don't see that happening in Boston.

He's being paid $9 mill a year, he's young, and PP, KG need rest. If he plays under 30 mpg than it was a total waste of money IMO.

He was only playing 24 minutes for the Celtics when he came.

With the depth the Celtics put together, I don't see anyone but Rondo and possible Pierce playing more then 34 minutes a game.

Yea I get what you are saying. He did not play much when he first got here, he looked totally lost too. I'm assuming after a full training camp with the team, that he can pick up the offense and defense so he will get a lot more run. If he can't than we should not have signed him.

No.  1.8 steals and 0.84 blocks.

Allright, I'm making a change on the steals.

He played at the essentially the exact same level for the Celtics as he did the Thunder, he just didn't get the same amount of minutes.

Look at the splits for his time in BOS and OKC.

Same PER, same 15 points per 36, 5 rebounds per 36, 12 shots per 36, etc. The main difference is that he took less threes so he was a bit more efficient.

im willing to give Green a chance...forget what he did in OKC/Boston the half a season he was here.

Green before last season and the heart ailment came out already admitted that he was working on his game and wanted to be more agressive....he said that he didnt want to step on anyones "toes" so to speak...imagine you are being brought into a situation and being told to take shots from future HOF'ers..and not only that but replacing a fan favorite in a polarizing trade

if he really will play more aggressive and Doc can basically tell him "when you get the ball, look for your shot" I think he's going to be successful here and win alot of games for us.

16/6, energy, energy and more energy! Defense and corner 3,s........numbers go up and down, we all know that......so consistency would be brilliant!

I'm thinking....11-13ppg with 5-6 rebs per.

Honestly we just need another threat out there on offense. Last year our offense could get REAL shaky when we go to the bench.

I don't see how people could think he's going to average close to 20 ppg. Theres just not enough points to go around for him to get to 20 or really anywhere close.

I don't see anyone on this roster averaging 20 ppg with Pierce being the top scorer with around 18 per.
