I'm figuring 12 pts/ 4 rebs / 3 asts / .5 steals / 1 TO

It's not world-beating stats but solid for the backup SF/PF

His past 3 full seasons have actually been remarkably consistent when you look at his per 36 minutes stats.  Here are his career per 36 minute stats (4 full seasons):

5.6 FG made, 12.6 FG attempts, .445 FG%, 1.0 3Pt Made,   2.9 3Pt attempts, .337 3Pt%, 2.7 FT made, 3.4 FT attempts   .773 FT%, 1.4 OREB, 4.6 DREB, 5.9 Total REBs   1.8 Assists, 1.0 Steals, 0.6 Blocks, 1.9 Turnovers, 2.8 Fouls, 14.8 Points

In 2011 he played 23.5 minutes per game for us.  I think he will play more like 25 minutes per game for us this year, 20 at the SF and 5 and the PF.

So take those numbers above in the per 36 minutes breakdown, and multiply them all by 0.70 (or 70%).  That's how you get to his numbers for us this upcoming season:

10 pts, 4 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal, < 1 block, 1 turnover

24mpg - 10 points and 4 rebounds a night

That's the high level mark I was thinking.

10 & 4 sounds right, and highlights why paying him so much is painful.

i've always been a fan of jeff green, and for the sake of our team i really hope he pans out here. i know he's got a fire burning inside him to prove himself in this league and to us fans. c'mon jeff ! 15 and 7 out of him would be perfect.

Easy.

He's going to put up the exact same numbers he's been putting up his entire career. The guy hasn't really improved since he's entered the league.

He has never played with anyone who is close to the play maker Rondo is.  If Green and Rondo develop chemistry and Green runs the court he is going to get more easy baskets and good looks then he ever did playing with Westbrook and Durant.  That's a given IMO.  If Rondo can make Wilcox look good he can do even more with a guy as skilled as  Green is.

With the way this team shares the ball and how it effectively attacks mismatches I''l be happy with Green as long as he is aggressive and active.  If he does those things the numbers will come.

Uh, so considering the fact he's already played with Rondo, and Rondo didn't magically make him better then, what makes you think Rondo will make him better now?

I think Green is going to get a lot more time at SF.  Both because Pierce won't be as durable and he'll play less when he plays.

15-7-2.

It's going to be fun watching Rondo and Green run the break.

I think he will be a starter now that Bradleys going to be out. Pierce at the 2.... I can easily see 15-6-3

For 08 - 11 (about 2.5 seasons) for OKC, he averaged pretty consistentyly 15.5 pts and 6.0 rebs more or less.  My prediction would be that he would still get around 15 pts but that he will do a little better on rebs, say 7.5 rebs.

I think he could score more but won't on the Celtics and Doc will have him focused on defense and rebounding leading to improvement there.  I also think he is going to prove to be a player who is a good passer, not so much in terms of getting assists but rather just in terms of keeping the ball moving and getting it to the right guy at the right time.

I think that is the player that Doc is going to ask him to be and I think he can be that player while staying comfortably within himself and his ability.

He needed 36 minutes a game to do that.  I don't see that happening in Boston.

Yep.

These numbers are about the minutes he plays.  They are also about the position he plays.

If Green approaches 30 min a game and almost exclusively at the SF, because Pierce is getting minutes at the SG, all bets are off on these projects.

If he's coming of the bench - 11 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1 assist, 1.5 steals, 23 MPG
If he's a starter - 16 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals, 35 MPG
