So am I. Yes he was a good servant to us, But we have to get younger man. I mean he was getting shopped almost every year in trade talk, Cant say I blame him, Plus the weather down in Miami is much nicer than Boston

If we get someone like OJ Mayo who I have been banging on about for ages then I would be very happy, according to Hoopshype Courtney Lee has also been attracting some interest from the Celtics also. shot 40% from 3 last year

Be very happy with either player, We also have to address the Center posistion because I dont think Fab Melo will see many minutes, could be wrong but we really need a Center

This kind of reminds me of the guy that when dumped by the amazing girlfriend says "I was getting tired of her anyway!". Please people. Ray was a class act, an amazing player, and someone that would have helped us the next couple years.

It's one thing to be upset that he is gone. It's another though to act like the guy wasn't someone we needed. I think Danny's offer proved how much the team felt we needed him.
We didn't NEED him. We could have USED him.

I just can't see how he could leave his buddies PP KG and Doc it's a head scratcher. He loved up there in the Boston area. What head scratcher. I thought by now I was over it. I'm way out here in San Diego and wonder what the hell went wrong. I can see Ray only leaving for a few reason and I don't think it Rondo either. When will Ray tell us? What did he tell Doc? Did he talk to Danny, PP or KG.

BBall - good research with Basketball-reference. Admittedly, that was the first time I'd even noticed that portion of the site.

TP to you.

Ray Allen, even in his older form, takes a lot away from BOS to MIA. Besides his clutchness (and the absolute lack of fear in the face of it), he takes his class, his confidence, and his work ethic.

That will help MIA, no doubt.

At the end of the day, even for you YOUNG folks out there, I don't know of MANY men who like to be told they can't do something.

Most of us have Pride, and Ego. Someone like Ray (and KG, and Paul, and Kobe, etc, etc, etc....) have TONS of it.

No one here, IMO, can blame Ray for that.

While the body is affected by natural aging, the mind goes on...telling us we can do things that our body just can't do anymore.

While Ray Allen is past his prime, I have a distinct feeling that he will have a resurgence in MIA...we won't see MIL Ray Allen, but we will see someone who will play with a bit of freedom - and less stress.

His will is strong (like KG, Kobe, Paul, etc), and it will be strong until he hangs up his shoes for good.

Can't blame the old man for that - at all.
