BBall - good research with Basketball-reference. Admittedly, that was the first time I'd even noticed that portion of the site.
TP to you.
Ray Allen, even in his older form, takes a lot away from BOS to MIA. Besides his clutchness (and the absolute lack of fear in the face of it), he takes his class, his confidence, and his work ethic.
That will help MIA, no doubt.
At the end of the day, even for you YOUNG folks out there, I don't know of MANY men who like to be told they can't do something.
Most of us have Pride, and Ego. Someone like Ray (and KG, and Paul, and Kobe, etc, etc, etc....) have TONS of it.
No one here, IMO, can blame Ray for that.
While the body is affected by natural aging, the mind goes on...telling us we can do things that our body just can't do anymore.
While Ray Allen is past his prime, I have a distinct feeling that he will have a resurgence in MIA...we won't see MIL Ray Allen, but we will see someone who will play with a bit of freedom - and less stress.
His will is strong (like KG, Kobe, Paul, etc), and it will be strong until he hangs up his shoes for good.
Can't blame the old man for that - at all.
