The team has never really been built around Rondo's strengths which is getting guys layups. How many layups has Ray missed over the last few years? Ray may be a great shooter but he sucks as a finisher and I am sure that gets under Rondo's skin. I play with a lot of oldtimers and they always comment about Ray's inability to make a layup. If it p---es off a group of old guys you can imagine how much that irritates Rondo.
My guess is that Rondo will continue to be less than enthused as Terry is just another gunner and the two top rookies aren't known for running the floor. If Danny and Doc don't want to give Rondo guys who will take advantage of Rondo's strengths, they should trade him as it will continue to be an unhappy lockerroom.

Rondo misses the most layups on the team by far, and probably the most layups in the NBA. Rondo has no right to insult anyone for missing layups when he is the king of missing layups.

He misses the most layups because he takes the most layups on the team, I guess he's the king of made layups as well. He also makes more unassisted layups on the team, I guess you should just shorten it to king of layups on the team.

Yes this is hilarious.  Who else even gets to the rim besides Pierce?

I know, right? It's like pointing out that Ray's missed more three pointers than anyone else on the team in the last 5 years and calling him the king of the bricklayers.

i must be crazy, but people think that rondo has a higher  basketball IQ than ray allen!?!?!?! seriously. really? i think celtics fans turn a blind eye to the holes in rondos game, its getting near a Tim Tebow status.
why is rondos IQ higher? because he can pass the ball better? because of his court vision? what about all the dumb **** he does on the court?? pushing an official in a crucial moment in a playoff game!!?!? talk about a lack of maturity and basketball IQ! what about his inability to get along with Doc, paul and Ray!?!? how can you be a leader when you have beef with 2 future HOF'ers, one is a (future?) celtic legend, the coach is one of the top coaches in the league, ect.
Danny knows he cant build a team around rondo. he doesnt have the right personality to lead a team and get respect in the locker room.

Also, funny you say Danny knows he can't build a team around Rondo because that's exactly what he's doing...
hes in trade talks every year. the problem is no GMs want rondo, despite how awesome celtic fans think he is. most GMs understand that a small PG, who cant shoot and stretch the floor, with attitude problems isnt going to work on most teams.
i always hoped we could trade westbrook for rondo. i thought rondo would do better for a team like OKC with a scorer like durant to work with.
what do you mean by small point guard? rondo is the prototypical height and weight of the perfect point guard. his height and weight are equal to stockton's

just because your idolized bricker westbrick is a 2 guard playing out of position doesnt make cp3 and rondo undersized point guards.

Ray might not be the greatest finisher, but he makes the layups he should make.

Problem with Ray is he gets blocked when he thinks hes go an easy one.

Have you watched Rondo....he misses EASY layups ALL THE TIME. Its not even close.

ray and rondo were the perfect team-mates, when analyzing their respective games: one, the best spot up 3 point shooter in nba history, the other capable of finding him open anywhere on the court and getting it to him in the perfect spot.  ray was responsible for many of rondo's assists, and rondo for many of ray's 3's.  too bad ray did not appreciate this enough.  while lebron is a good assist man, he's no rondo.

.....ray would rather deal with lebron than rondo

He hasn't even begun to deal with the divas. It's a bit premature for that.

calm down buddy, Lebron is a diva maybe

but on the court he is pretty good teammate, and will give Ray the ball a ton

Just a personality clash?

I mean...it's Ray this time, what if this happens to someone else in the future, will Rondo's personality became a issue to drive players away from Boston?

I think it is the clash of different personalities.

Not as often as Rondo did, and that still wasn't enough to keep Ray happy.

Ray most of the time was the first option on offense.

Here's what Rondo has done RIGHT for Ray Allen

Here's the stats on Allen's percentage of FGs that were assisted during his tenure in Boston.

2012 - 78%
2011 - 74%
2010 - 73%
2009 - 69%
2008 - 65%

(In his last year in Seattle - 47% of his buckets were assisted)

Ray Allen needs to be set up to score at this point in his career.  Miami is a perfect fit for his diminishing skills.

You can speculate but I don't think you can assert.

It's very likely he'll get good looks but the Heat offense is like not only not going to be centered around Ray, it's also vetoed by the great Spoelstra...double threat right there.

Of course, I'm biased but I guess I make a good devil's advocate.

I honestly think Ray main reason for leaving was all the trade speculations in the last couple of seasons.

I doubt Rondo had much to do with it.
Problem is to many people with tweeter and nothing to tweet about make every little argument into world war three.

What i remember from Ray and Rondo is sharing the stage in after games news conference, specially the one when Ray looked somewhat protective over Rondo after the Heat OT loss(the missed call on Wade).

No, Rondo's not the problem. The Heat made a great pitch and Ray bought into it.

according to Woj, Allen chose Miami to stick it to the Celtics

http://www.celticslife.com/2012/07/adrian-wojnarowski-ray-allen.html

wow, didn't know he was that upset. But then again, he was technically traded to Memphis at the trade deadline.

Wow, Ray seriously is ruining his once stellar rep if this is true. Joining a rival team out of spite? Really? Are we 38, or are we in high school?
