the rondo era begins. no more waiting for ray to get open

yea cant wait for all those bricks from Rondo
rondo is the 5th option. jason terry will shoot lights out now.

Terry shoots like 44% from the field, and needs his shots.

Hes a streaky shooter. They are taking a huge chance on him.

At this moment, I am still appalled Ray Allen chose Miami. I can't recall a bald guy betraying his friends like this since Cypher chose fake steak over Neo in The Matrix! Not since watching  Scar murdered his own brother in The Lion King 3D have my senses felt this assaulted. I am confused, stuck on the precipe of reality and fiction, unable to discern the truth from lies. This is worse than when Nas joined Jay Z at Def Jam after Jay-Z talked badly about his baby's mother. Even if you win, Ray, you lose your soul.  So what was Ray Allen thinking?

We all know Ray Allen's nose looks as if he always smelled a stinky fart, but I thought he had much more sense than this. To live and die as a Celtic should be every man's dream. Who decides to bolt for the land of ravenous bath salt zombies and caked up make up coke head video vixens infected with every STD known to man? The city of Boston is a basketball Mecca, a place where dreams are not only made, they are forged in back alley card rooms and mystical bars filled to the brim with every beer you could imagine. WHY LEAVE THE TRUTH?

All that glitters is not gold, Ray Allen. It just might be the rhinestones that Chris Bosh placed on LeBron's headband to take away from his horrific hairline. Prepare to be booed for life.

You think Ray could play better D than Terry?

Significantly better.

not from what i saw in the playoffs

I take it you missed the part where Ray hurt his ankle?

he still was not a lockdown defender even when healthy. are you saying that? his defense will not be missed. he could not create his own shot either like terry.

He didnt need to create.

Who wants another guard holding the ball for 10 seconds trying to make a move to go by his man?

This team was build the way it was because it had balance.

I doubt Rondo or Pierce want to see there shooting guard trying to be Kobe Bryant

No Offense, but I'm tired of hearing the poor Ray, he was offered in trades...

That is part of the game...

Just think if Paul Pierce got his feelings hurt so easily...

Paul has been offered up so many times he is used to it...heck the fans turn on Paul every other year...

AS mad as I am, I am choosing to appreciate the captain that much more...
He is, always has been, and always will be a Celtic...

Funny because that's EXACTLY what this team needed.

Yep Ray Allen is no Paul Pierce.

Paul is more loyal in his sleep.

How come Paul can get along with Rondo good enough?

I have NEVER been so upset with a player in my entire sports fandom. It really has nothing to do with him leaving. Avery Bradley won the starting spot and if he was healthy the C's would be hanging banner 18. It has to do with the fact that he was offered double the cash to stay in Boston and offered only the 3rd no trade clause in modern day NBA...Danny Ainge was trying to do right by Ray even though his skills no longer merited the award...yet he chose to head to a rival instead. He said he would have stayed in Boston for 9 million a year, but they wouldnt give it to him so he went to the cHeat for 3 mill...
Again, it may end up better for the celtics on the court, but that isn't the point...
Rick Fox just lost his top spot on my benedict arnold sports list.

This is Kevin McHale going to the fakers, Dan Marino going to Buffalo, Archie Griffin transferring to m!ch!g@n, Terry Bradshaw wearing an Orange Helmet...

It is distgusting...

I will forever be grateful for he did in a Celtic uniform...
 He helped bring KG in...
He broke Sasha Vujacic's ankles on the way to the greatest comeback in finals history on the way to banner 17...
He broke the 3 point record wearing the Kelley Green...
He broke the 3 point record for most 3s in a finals game...

But he has forever tarnished his legacy...
Russell, Cousy, Havliceck, Heinsohn, JoJo, Mchale, Pierce, KG...True Celtics...

I expect to see #5, #34, and #9 join the record 22 retired numbers...I highly doubt, and I hope #20 never sees that honor...that is only for true Celtics...

ahhhh so having a guy who can create when needed is a bad thing right? Having another guy besides The Truth to shoot from outside at the end of games is not good? wow.......i think you are missing the whole point here.

Signing with the Heat is the ultimate Edited.  Profanity and masked profanity are against forum rules and may result in discipline. move.  Instead of getting twice the money to try to vanquish the Heat, Allen was content to take the easy way out and ring chase in Miami.

Ainge should have shipped Allen's ungrateful ass out of town when he had the chance.  They're reporting on ESPN right now that there was talk for months around the NBA about Allen going to the Heat.  That explains the post-Game 7 love fest with LeBron and Wade.

I really hope that Allen's ankles don't heal and he struggled in Miami. He's be wearing the ultimate ring chaser number in Miami, 20, which was worn by the original ring chaser, Gary Payton.
