Man, it stings more than you guys even understand. It really and truly does, but I can't boo Ray. I will never boo ray. I hoped he would stay for KG, Pierce and Doc, and while I hoped that Ray would look past how Danny Ainge has treated him the past couple seasons, especially last season, when he attempted to trade him to Memphis for O.J. Mayo, can you really Blame Ray for feeling that he just wasn't appreciated enough by the head office in Boston?
I'll always want to see Allen succeed, but this doesn't mean I'll suddenly stop rooting for the Celtics to succeeds as well. When the Heat and the Celts play eachother, I'll just watch as a neutral fan, but I'll want Ray to win as much as possible, to prove his worth and value as much as possible for people who didn't fully appreciate what he brought to the Celtics, and all the things he did for the team. Ray was a professional and was loyal for years to the Celtics. The head office wasn't loyal to him. It's only when there's a threat that Ray Allen ends up on the Heat, and is wanted so badly by other contenders, that Ainge decided it was time to give Ray the respect he deserves.
Ainge was fighting for Allen as a free agent, but he wasn't fighting for him when he had him. I'm p---ed, but I'm not mad at Ray.
